Parenta Magazine January 2020

Welcome to the January edition of the Parenta magazine! January is the month when many of us reflect on the year behind us and endeavour to make (and stick to!) resolutions for the year ahead, both personally and professionally. If you are one of the many who are starting the new year with high hopes of becoming more sustainable, we’ve got some useful ideas to help you reduce the use of plastic in your setting, together with some fun activities to educate the children about the importance of recycling. In the aftermath of the festive season, it’s important to remember to look after ourselves and our teams, both physically and mentally. Following on from an earlier article on how to improve the wellbeing of your staff, we take a look at this topical subject from Ofsted’s perspective, according to its recently-introduced Education Inspection Framework. We hope you enjoy this edition of our magazine and would like to wish all our readers a happy New Year and we hope that 2020 brings you happiness and success.

Recruitment
I have had many dealings with
Lilly over time and she has always
been incredibly supportive, helpful,
professional and really nice to deal
with, so I know that you will all be
in safe hands.
Training
I am writing to give feedback for my
remote assessor, Jeanette Arnold,
who has been so supportive and
helpful in helping me complete my
Level 3 in childcare. Every time I
needed help or had any questions,
she was available for me to call
or e-mail her. She provided me
with lots of help and guidance
for my coursework and she has
been such an amazing tutor, as
during the beginning, I had few
disappointments from Parenta but
Jeanette helped me complete Level
3 on time. Many thanks, to her and
your team.
Just wanted to feedback, I spoke to Molly today (think this is
the first time I have spoken to her) and just wanted to say she
was lovely. She was really helpful and talked through the next
steps of what will happen next with my enquiry.
I want to congratulate Parenta on all their fabulous teams
throughout the company. They are always upbeat when I call
and are always keen to solve any questions or concerns I have.
Parenta, you have a fabulous workforce and they all deserve
a pat on the back (or massive pay rise! That comment should
get me some brownie points). Honestly as a manager and
head of business I congratulate you on your recruitment.
Keep up the good work everyone.
Training
Excellent, the course was delivered
and followed through well, with
continuous support and encouragement
to achieve the goal. The standards of
teaching and learning are 5 star and I
was always made to feel that I can do it!
