Arrive in Catania and settle into your hotel for the evening.
Set off by car to Cefalù where you’ll visit the cathedral, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to Norman times.
Start the day with a visit to one of Palermo’s biggest markets and
wander past vibrant stalls as you watch the locals haggle for fresh
Sicilian produce and succulent street food.
Your driver will take you to Erice where you can explore the
narrow cobbled streets of the town, catching glimpses of the salt
fields and the sparkling Bay of Bonagia between the golden glow
of the buildings.
Spend the morning on a tour of the Valley of the Temples –
some of the oldest, best-preserved Greek temples in the world.
Today, enjoy a tour of the Baroque city of Noto before heading
to Syracuse, the most important city on the island during the
Greek rule. Take in the well-preserved buildings and ruins as you
visit its old town, Ortigia.
Today you’ll explore Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in
Europe, before heading to Taormina to enjoy some free time.
On the way back to your hotel, stop off in a traditional winery
and try unique Etna wine which is flavoured by the volcanic
landscape.
Bid farewell to Sicily as you return home.
