Our school is located in Yenice neighborhood. In addition to the students living in Yenice,

students from Yavuzlar and Şuğul neighborhoods also come to our school. There are 161 students

and 17 teachers in our school. Besides academic success, our students and teachers take an active

been carried out in our school for 2 years and we have obtained both quality and European

quality labels for these projects. Due to the hygienic conditions in our school, our school has

been awarded with the white flag award. Our school regularly organizes art exhibitions that

consist entirely of student works. National festivals are celebrated in a colourful and

enthusiastic way in our school.

EVALUATION OF

FAILURE

EVALUATION OF FAILURE

As a result of the evaluation report of the reasons for failure survey,

students showed some agglomeration. A separate study is shown at the

rate 27 percent number of students who say ‘they don't have one’. I

talked to the parents of these students and stated at the parent

meetings that the rules should be followed while the students are

studying. By providing silence in the house at certain times, these

students will be able to study comfortably anywhere in the house.

The number of students who say that ‘I learn in class but I forget

immediately’ is shown as 38 percent. Afterwards, these students were

interviewed and the correct study and listening methods were explained.

It was also explained that simple notes should be taken while listening to

lectures or lessons should be listened by drawing a concept map. ‘The

place where I live in the classroom not a suitable place for me to follow

the lessons’ is marked as 30 percent. The students who have marked this

item have been interviewed and a solution has been found with the

guidance of a class guide teacher. Appropriate solutions have been

developed for these students

KEYS TO SUCCESS

Do you think of yourself as a smart student?

Probably yes or surely not.

People believe that successful students are born smart. No matter what else is going

on, they always get good grades. Grades are only one part of your education.Be sure

that successful students aren’t more intelligent than other students. They are just

more disciplined and focused, and they have developed winning habits. So even if you

don’t feel as if you’re a smart student, don’t worry. These are some important keys to

success:

1. Be organised

Students who aren’t organised waste time looking for items or notes, or doing

last-minute work they forgot about.Use a planner (calendar) or do a ‘brain

drump-brain storming’.

2. Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night

Students who perform well are effective learners. As the research shows, sleep

is a vital part of becoming an effective learner. Sleep improves memory and

enhances learning. So go to bed at roughly the same time every day, and

make it a priority to get 8 hours of sleep a night.

3. Eat healthily

Research shows that the better you eat, the better your brain functions. And

the better your brain functions, the better your performance will be in school.

Here are some basic tips to eat more healthily:

Eat vegetables and fruit

Eat meat and fish

Avoid packaged foods

Avoid sugar

Drink plenty of water

4. Manage your thoughts and emotions

Students who lose focus or motivation are typically discouraged. They’re often

discouraged because they feel as if they can’t do well academically, so they

lose hope. Manage your thoughts and emotions effectively – especially when

you are disappointed. Or if you enjoy doing sport, after you finish your math

and science homework, you’ll do sport that you love.

5. Have a purpose

Few students have purposes. They feel as if their school life is only getting god

grades. But this is not true. How can you develop a sense of purpose?Think

about…

How do you want to live ?

Which long-term purposes do you have?

What are your duties and responsibilities?

What kind of person you’d like to become?

If you answer these questions you’ll have a better idea about your future life.

6. Manage your stress

Students who don’t manage their stress well, usually have bad performance

and get worse grades. To manage your stress levels:

Perform deep breathing exercises

Listen to music

Spend time with friends

7. Give yourself rewards

Give yourself small rewards whenever possible. For example, you might

decide that after 45 minutes of work, you’ll reward yourself with a 5-minute

YouTube video or something you like.

After all, the road to success is built step by step. Success – as a student and

in life in general – is about daily choices and habits.

Success is not the key to happiness.Happiness is the key to success. If you

love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Be organised

Eat healthily

Manage your stress

Have a purpose

Give yourself rewards

Get at least 8 hours of sleep every night

Manage your thoughts and emotions

I LEARNING

ENGLISH

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO

LEARN ENGLISH?

There are many reasons to learn a foreign language and include it in the

curriculum such as being able to communicate with other people from

other countries, getting a deeper understanding of another culture,

improving memory and keeping the mind sharper for longer. But the

significant question is why we learn English in particular. You can find

many reasons to learn English below:

English is the official language of 53 countries in the world, which

means it is the most commonly spoken language. Also, it is the second

language in other countries. According to the research, one out of

five people can speak and understand English. As a result, we have

more chance to communicate with people from other countries by

speaking English.

English is the language of the Internet and the media. Many websites

are written in English. Most of the popular films, songs, newspapers,

magazines and TV shows are all in English- language. That is, if you

know English, you will not need translation and understand them in an

easier way.

As for education, we also need to know English because the language

of education in many well-known universities is English. Most of the

current books and academic articles are in English, so it is essential

to know English to have an easy access to information and to get new

skills.

In today’s world, English is a must if you want to move on your career.

International conferences, fairs, exhibitions and business meetings

are all in English language due to globalization. Besides, the level of

language competency is a substantial criteria for taskmasters.

Finally, English is the easiest language to learn because it is based on

a simple alphabet and grammar. Also, we have the highest possibility

to learn it because of over-exposure to it everywhere.
