Summer
Courses
2020
Our holiday courses give children and young people aged
4 - 16 years, the opportunity to perform on stage, produce
films, learn techniques, gain confidence, make friends,
challenge themselves, achieve personally, develop socially
and have fun. The building itself is a specifically designed
performing arts venue with mirrored dance studios. It is a
passionate, professional and creative hub where our young
people can be themselves. Our summer courses offer
an opprotunity for incredible achievements and lasting
memories.

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
FILM PRODUCTION COURSE
Saturday 25th - Friday 31st July 2020
10.00am - 5.00pm | Ages 9 - 16 Years | £150
This course runs for seven days to allow time to create, write, rehearse and
shoot a feature length film. Young people participating will experience writing,
devising, acting, filming and some basic sound operation.
Over the rest of the summer the film is edited and completed. The company
then return on Sunday 13th October to watch a full cinema screening of the
film premiere at The Phoenix Cinema in Finchley, before receiving their link to
download a digital copy of the film to keep.
Following the production in previous years of four hour long films, The Family,
Replay, Run and Tweakers, this year our theme is Zombie Apocalypse. This course
suits any young person with an interest in acting for camera and media, and is a
very valuable way to spend a week of the summer.
children will explore the theme through play, movement, poetry, puppetry, song and creative arts. We work towards a performance at
the end of the week, with parts of the show allowing participants an element of creative freedom, to help them to grow in confidence
through their own choices. Spend a week with Magical Unicorns, Dastardly Dragons and Sleepy Sloths for a week of the summer!

Monday 24th - Friday 28th August 2020 | 9.30 - 11.45am | Ages 4 - 6 Years | £70
We are heading to Arendelle for a week of fun with Elsa, Anna, Olaf and their friends. Using songs from both of the brilliant Frozen
films, we will create a music and dance filled performance set in this magical world, ready for the Friday afternoon. An imagination
fuelled fun filled week of singing, dancing and acting, supported by a fun and exciting teaching team, ensuring all the children have
an amazing inspirational and rewarding week of their summer at Bodens.

We finish off the summer with a West End Week, welcoming guest performers from some brilliant shows to teach songs and
choreography directly from their production, to help us to create ours. Musicals like School of Rock, Come from Away, Six and
Wicked, with our exact line up being confirmed nearer the course. Students will undertake a full rehearsal process from audition to
performance. We will include research, rehearsal, techniques and exploration throughout, ensuring not only do all the participants
have a rewarding and exciting week, they learn a lot, and put on a really good show for family and friends on the Friday night in the
Scaffold Theatre.
