Isle of Dogs in London was once a rural and relatively wild area of marshland that was mainly used for animal
pasture, however, it is now the financial hub of London. Home to the impressive skyscrapers of Canary Wharf it has
seen some massive changes and events over the centuries and shows how new and old London now live side by
side. The Isle of Dogs was once populated entirely by dockers; the notorious Millwall FC started out here and most
Londoners have never set foot here, however, it is less than 15 minutes by DLR from the City and is a hidden, tranquil
riverside retreat that feels worlds apart from the capital. The Thames Path is lined with converted wharf buildings,
parks and majestic views back to the City and of Greenwich and on a sunny day, it can feel like the Riviera with
walkers ambling along enjoying the views and joggers running past the smart low-rise flats, just a stone’s throw
away from bustling central London.

another, or just to have a good time”.
