Turkey’s first passenger cable car; installing all elevators,
escalators, and moving walkways in an immense mall; and
installing elevators with a speed of 4 m/sec in a 47 storey
skyscraper.

“Passenger Transportation”.

Valter Solutions:
Funicular
Valter, with Doppelmayr/Garaventa as its solution partner, constructed the
tunnel funicular line from Kabataş the Bosporus seaport in Yenikapı where
ships and boats dock in İstanbul to Taksim, an above sea level access point
for subway, bus, and tramway. The rail line can transport 7,500 passengers
per hour. Two trains with two railcars each are used in the Taksim – Kabataş
line. Both have a machinist compartment. Trains are always accompanied by
a driver.
