ABOUT THOMPSON MOTORSPORTS:

Thompson Motorsports was founded in San Jose, CA in 1998 by Dave and Josh Thompson. After years

of watching Sprint Cars at the historic San Jose Speedway, they decided to join the world of racing

when Josh was 14. Starting in Quarter Midgets at Baylands QMA, Josh quickly climbed the ranks in

his class. After outgrowing Quarter Midgets, Josh progressed to 600 Micro Sprints and Thompson

Motorsports grew to a two-car team. With several successful years of racing, Dave retired as team

owner and sold all the equipment in 2008. As luck would have it, Josh came across the opportunity in

2016 to purchase all the equipment back and start racing his old number again. With Josh and Katie

Thompson as the new owners, Thompson Motorsports started racing at Sunset Speedway in Banks,

OR and River City Speedway in Saint Helens, OR.
