SSMS is the Avio solution
for rideshare missions to LEO
addressing 1 to 400 kg
mass satellites.
Vega C will carry SSMS
inside the fairing, marking
the first European
Rideshare Mission.
About 40 SmallSats
are booked on this flight.
SSMS is a modular dispenser
made up of sandwich panels
with aluminum honeycomb
core and CFRP skins, equipped
with the necessary avionics
for Sats’ separation.
It features a modular architecture
where any component can be
added or removed from
the ring or the deck to best fit
the satellites’ number, mass
and volume.
The structure can accomodate
12U CubeSats aggregates
in the lower ring and Micro
and Mini Satellites on the two
decks and Constellations.
After the Maiden Flight,
SSMS will offer regular
yearly rides to orbit.
