11:09 AM PT​ -- ​Kim Kardashian West​ was arrested last night, Friday February 14th around
8:26 pm (pt) for a civil infraction. This was after Kim was spotted in downtown LA. Law
enforcement sources tell TMZ cops were flagged after West left the restaurant. We’re told at
this time it is unclear who made the call.
Reports say, Kim Kardashian West was celebrating a friend's birthday by having an intimate
dinner with close friends and family at a Middle Eastern restaurant in Los Angeles called
Carousel. Reports indicate that Kim Kardashian was wearing a Cheongsam.
We reached out and spoke to West who told us there was no intent of cultural appropriation.
She wore the dress for a special night out with friends. “I understand, I have a deep respect
for the significance of the Cheongsam in the Chinese culture,” West said.
Kim has had a history of cultural appropriation that is the center of controversy. Back in June
2019, she was criticized after launching Kimono Solutionwear.
Kim was released from Century Regional Detention Facility an hour after she made a brief
appearance through a video link before a LA judge, earlier this morning. She will face a bail
hearing at a future date.
