Spring Semester:
Technology & Innovation Program
JANUARY 31 – JUNE 3, 2021
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to
experience the “Start-Up Nation” first-hand.
As an intern with a Jerusalem-based startup
or technology company, you will become
acquainted with Israel’s renowned culture of
innovation as you help to develop and launch
new products.
As a student at the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem, you will take courses with experts in
the field and accrue academic credits toward
your degree. This program is a “resumebuilder”
with regard to both academic
credentials and professional experience.
Course Components
• Intensive Hebrew or Arabic: Pre-semester language
course (3 credits)
• Internship: 16 hours per week (2 credits); Innovation in
Israel Workshop (4 credits)
•Electives: Courses are available in business and
STEM subjects through Hebrew University’s science,
humanities, and social science departments (9 credits)
The Jerusalem Experience
While studying in Jerusalem, you’ll experience the
city’s incredible mosaic of cultures, foods, religions, and
peoples. Stroll through a lively street market, or spend
an evening with friends at a trendy restaurant. Immerse
yourself in the lively arts scene, or volunteer with one
of the many nonprofit organizations serving the city’s
diverse residents. Through an independent study project,
you can also pursue a special interest that will connect
you to the city in a personal way.
Entrepreneurs, artists, scholars, scientists, and activists all
flock to Jerusalem, making it an exciting place to study
abroad. You’ll make new friends and new memories as
you discover first-hand Jerusalem’s rich history, as well as
its vibrant and innovative culture.
Student Life
Build your own unique impressions and memories of
Israel. You’ll be invited to participate in a wide array of
trips, tours, and activities offered by the Office of Student
Life, such as a tour of Jerusalem’s Old City, a trip to the
Dead Sea, and participation in holidays and festivals
taking place throughout the year. Living with other
