FROM NO WAY

TO HIGH WAY

Approximately, two years ago,

I received my degree in Civil

Engineering and a MSc in

Project Management. I

started to look for a job however, I was

unable to secure one. Every time I applied

the refusal feedback was always the same. I

did not have any practical experience. I put

my trust in God for a job and kept on praying

although I was discouraged.

In 2018, I started working as a

construction labourer. I faced

a lot of humiliation and was

very discouraged. The pay was

low and I constantly stuggled

with wanting to leave. I thank

God for my wife and her

encouragement that kept me

going.

I eventually became a

construction ground worker.

My new boss was always

complaining and had no

patience as he did not

want to show me how things

worked.

After the International

Gathering of Champions

(IGOC), I began working

with a new engineer and as

God would have it, he was a

young man from Zimbabwe, a who

had been my fellowship president at University.

When I saw him, we greeted each other and I

explained my situation. He embraced me and

said “Don’t worry I will help you.” God had

sent a divine helper. The young man spoke to

the project manager and I became my friend’s

chainman. He started showing me everything

I needed to know. He also gave me a lot of

encouragement and helped me to apply for jobs.

After a few months, when the project we were

working on was about to come to an end, I

was made redundant. However, during the

2019 Spring Bible Conference, Pastor Korede

Kamaiya spoke on audacity. That message

unlocked something within me and I updated

my CV and uploaded it on lots of job sites.

To the glory of God, after IGOC 2019, I

recieved a call from an agency for me to be part

of one of biggest highway jobs in the UK with

fantastic pay. The Lord has been so good to me

and I thank Him for what He has done in my

life. Praise the Lord.

In n June 2019, my 98 year old grandma fell ill

in Zambia. She had never been sick before so

I knew I had to travel and be with her as God

kept prompting me to go and witness to her.

My grandma was religious but not saved. I

spent three weeks at her bedside. She accepted

Jesus and died two days later. She was the first of her

generation to receive Christ. Glory be to Jesus.

A day after I returned to London, I experienced pain in

my chest. I was rushed to hospital as I could not breathe.

At the hospital I was told that I

had angina.

I have always been healthy and never taken

medication. During that week, I nearly had

a heart attack. The cardiologist kept saying

“You are one lucky woman. Many people

end up on my table battling for their life.” I

looked at him and said “I’m not lucky, I have

Jesus.”

I had an operation and had a stent implanted

in my left artery. I was told that I was a type

2 diabetic with high blood pressure and

extremely high cholesterol. I was given eight

different tablets to take on a daily basis.

One day, I looked at the cardiologist and I

thought to myself ‘The devil is a liar. I know

this is because of what I went to do with my

grandmother.’

I began to pray and decree the Word over my

body. When I attended my next appointment

the doctors were shocked as everything

was back to normal. Glory to God. Thank

you Pastor Matthew and Pastor Yemisi for

teaching us the undiluted Word of God.

GOD

RESTORED

ME

In 2015, I had a dream someone was injecting my

stomach. I prayed, uprooted and cancelled that

dream. Time passed and I attended an appointment

for a smear test. Shortly before the test I started

experiencing stomach pain. I thought it was just a

normal stomach ache, so I attended work as normal but on

the third day the pain gradually increased and eventually

became constant.

I took some pain killers but the pain did not go. It was quite

severe at this point. I asked my employer for permission to go

home.

The next day I rushed to my GP. A nurse came to examin

me and called in the doctor because she suspected that I had

appendicitis. The doctor gave me a note and told me to go

immediately to the hospital. When I handed over the note

at the hospital, I was examined, given pain medication and

prepared for surgery.

After surgery, when I opened my eyes, I was on a ward. The

next day the consultant came to inform me that when they

had gone to do the surgery they did not find anything. I was

discharged but when I got home the pain started again. I was

up all night so I called an ambulance. At A & E, I suffered

with a lot of pain during the long waiting time. The friends

who came with me tried to calm me down but I even

scratched them. When I was called, I was given more

pain medication and told that I had an infection.

The Chief Consultant informed me that everything

would be OK and that he would arrange for a

radiologist to drain the incision. However, if the

draining did not work another surgery would

be scheduled. I was transferred to await the

radiologist. When they arrived he said I

was lucky but I said in my mind, ‘It is not

luck but the God I serve.’ The surgeons

were not satisfied and they did a

second surgery to wash the infection

out. I was finally discharged after 6

weeks, but was diagnosed with so

many complications, including

fibromyalgia (always in pain).

I returned to Bible school

and I thank God the Dean

was praying for me as it

was a challenge to cope with the workload but the Lord saw me

through.

Eventually, I realised that the nurse had incorrectly carried out

the smear test and that triggered my appendix to burst. The

doctor told me he was sorry but I thank God that I am alive.

During The River and again at The Rain services, Pastor Mathew

called me to the altar and while praying he pulled me out of

all the problems saying “God is restoring you.” I thank Pastor

Matthew for allowing himself to be used by God for all of us. I

bless and thank God for Pastor Yemisi. On my first day back to

church I saw her and she was so motherly to me. It only makes

me love her more. I don’t know how many days anyone can

survive with a burst appendix without dying, but God kept me

going. If God is for you, no one can harm you. Praise God.

JESUS KEPT US SAFE

On the Monday before

the Winning Women

Convention, I was in

a car being driven by a

faithful woman of God. As we drove

along a dimly lit country road in

Essex, we both perceived a worrying

sight about 100 metres in the

they wanted to sell the property for

said “It’s over 1 million,

therefore, we will

During

services,

I would cry

out to God knowing that Pastor

Matthew has always told us that

he never buys property for the full

asking price. Anytime he made this

statement, I would scream Amen

with all of my strength.

I held on to Philippians 1:6 – “And I

am certain that God, who began the

good work within you, will continue

his work until it is finally finished on

the day when Christ Jesus returns,”

by someone who had lost total

control of the steering wheel.

At this point, all conversation

us. There is no doubt that my friend driving

was praying. She stopped the car as the other

car hurtled directly towards us. A head-on

crash seemed inevitable and in that moment

I screamed “Jesus!” The other car stopped

coming towards us and swerved out of our lane.

We have no idea what happened to the car or

the driver, but the name of Jesus is the strong

tower that kept us safe.
