“In a flawed world, we must

YOUNG fallen angles: Cohen Abrahams, Nathan Naush

Williams and Kaylin April. The pair is known for their

“unfiltered bars”, in this Music Video they take it back to

the hood where they explain the difficulties growing up and

how we should be grateful if we are still alive. Irvin van

Bullet hole found in “Last Supper” Painting

In a modern painting of “The Last Supper”, a bullet was

discovered through the figure of Jesus Christ. The damage

is seen on the three-and-a-half metre tall canvas by Lorna

May Wadsworth. The hole was discovered when the painting

was prepared for display at the Graves Gallery in Sheffield

It had previously been on display behind the altar of a

Gloucestershire country church for a decade.

Commenting on the damage to her painting, the artist said

in a statement: “Initially, when I first saw the damage, I was

so upset that I considered pulling the painting from the exhibition.

However, it was also very important to me that whoever

did the damage didn’t ‘win’.”

The position of the bullet hole, on Jesus’s right side, had

caused some to speculate whether it was supposed to be representative

of the final wound he sustained from a Roman

lance while hanging on the cross. When asked whether there

could be a possible racist motive behind the damage, Wadsworth

commented: “I hope it was just mindless vandalism

as the alternative is too horrible to contemplate.”

“The World Through his Lens”

Are you a detail oriented person?

Yes, I am a detail oriented person.

What is your favorite subject to photograph?

Fashion photography.

What does photography mean to you?

Personally photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving that’s what photography means to me.

What makes the good picture stand out from the average?

What makes a good picture is the way it’s shot, the lighting, the angles, the post production behind the images and also as a

viewer the image should tell a story by just looking at the image. That makes an image stand out from the average.

What inspires you?

I get my inspiration from seeing different peoples styles and finding ways of styling it in an other way and shooting differently.

Also seeing what is trending and putting a twist to it so that it is still seen as trendy fashion but with a twist.

Whose work has influenced you most?

I must say there’s not only one Photographer who’s work influenced me, as there is a lot of Photographers/Creatives that influences

me.

Why did you choose to pursue a career as a photographer?

I was an assistant on a photoshoot and while working I saw how the Photographer, Stylist, and Model work together and that

really caught my attention and I told myself I would try to give this a chance and I bought myself a digital camera and started

doing photoshoots with friends and family and from that my interest in photography grew and I went on to study photography

for 2 years and got my qualifications. And to this day it’s not only my job but my passion.

What kind of gear do you use?

My gear consists of a Digital camera, three lenses, external flash and MacBook for editing.

How do you connect with difficult clients?

The way in which I connect with difficult clients is that I approach the situation or whatever the issue may be in a very professional

manner and try work out a solution to help myself and the client.

How would you describe your photography style?

I would describe my style as fashionable, different and eye catching.

What is the most rewarding part of being a photographer for you?

The most rewarding part for me is meeting and working with new people, meeting well known people within the industry and

also working with them. Being able to travel and work in different locations, cities for me that’s very rewarding.

What do you like least about being a photographer?

Honestly, I will have to say when people find out I’m a Photographer they tend to compare me to other photographers and I

keep repeating myself and telling them that every Photographer is different.

Which is your favorite lens?

My favourite lens at the moment is Canon 50mm lens.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5years I would like to see myself as an internationally known Photographer with my work being exhibited around the world.

And also owning my own studio.

What are your career goals?

My career goals is to get international recognition and establishing a very well known photography business.

What would you say is your speciality ?

Within this field my specialty is my eye for angles and the way in which I capture the subject.

What are your values as a Photographer ?

My values as a Photographer are Integrity, Quality, Creativity, Trust and Respect.

How do you make people feel comfortable in front of the camera ?

Whenever, I do a photoshoot and the client is uncomfortable I immediately tell them to play their favourite songs or their own

music so that they are comfortable and I tell them not to think of it as a photoshoot and just be themselves and I’m just there to

capture them in the moment.

What would you say is your Photographic Style ?

My photographic style is putting a fashion twist to everything I capture.

Timbuktu, Mali is home of one of the oldest

universities in the world, established in 982 CE.

According to African scholar Shamil Jeppie in The

Meanings of Timbuktu:

“...Timbuktu is a repository of history, a living archive

which anybody with a concern for African history should

be acquainted with. Timbuktu may be hard to get to but

it played an essential role as a centre of scholarship under

the Songhay state until the invasion from the rulers of

Marrakesh in 1591, and even thereafter it was revived.”
