Scholarship Application
Process
Students will be considered for all scholarships they are eligible for.
Eligibility is determined by declared major, GPA, In‐state status, and any
other qualifications. Follow the steps outlined to apply for a HCC
scholarship.

Log on to your Dragon Zone
• Go to www.hutchcc.edu and click on Dragon Zone

Enter your username and password and click the
login button.

Click on the Finance Tab and then on
Scholarships

Select the Academic Year you wish to apply
You may only
have one year to
choose from.

Indicate whether you plan on being full time or
part time and enter your employment status.

Enter your income and family information if you are applying for
“need based” scholarships or check that you are declining need based
scholarships.
Choose from the
drop down box
the income that
best represents
your family
income.
If you decline need based
scholarships you will reduce
the number of scholarships
you are eligible for.

Enter the number in your family and the number in college.
They need to be enrolled in 6 credit hours or more.

Check all scholarships and activities you are
interested in.

This is a summary of your application. Review the
information. If all information is correct check the
“I AGREE” box and submit your application.

This screen allows you to enter your personal
statement and send our reference requests.
Click on the

boxes and complete that
task hit the “previous
button to get back to this
page if you wish to make
another selection.

Personal Statement
It is required for all Endowment Scholarships
Type your
personal
statement in the
box. You are
limited to 500
words.
When you hit
SAVE it will
submit your
personal
statement.

Letters of Reference
Enter the email address of
the persons you are asking
to send a reference. Then
click send. Our system will
send out that request.
Check this box if you
are declining
references.
