TRUCK SHIPMENT

Checking & Unloading Instructions We take great care in filling, checking,

and packaging your order. On rare occasions, a package may be lost or damaged

in transit. At the time shipment is received: Observe the entire shipment for

visible damage and the correct number of pieces. Make notation of shortage or

damage on all copies of the freight bill. Sign for the number of pieces, not the

number of pallets. Unpack cartons immediately to check contents for possible

damage. If damage (hidden or concealed) is discovered, save the carton,

immediately report the damage to the carrier, and request an inspection. Follow

up the request in writing and call UCS customer service at 800-526-4856.

Additional charges may apply for special services such as lift gate, call before

delivery, etc. Truck drivers provide delivery to the end of the truck and are not

required to provide assistance unloading the truck when the delivery arrives.

Please be sure to have enough help and/or the proper equipment for unloading

upon delivery, or ask about lift gate service when ordering.

RETURNS

Do not return damaged goods to UCS without prior written authorization and

an RMA number given. Product must be new, unused and in the original packaging,

otherwise it is not returnable. Only certain color merchandise is returnable.

FedEx Orders You will receive a return label with your order. Place this label on the

package, then contact FedEx at 888-777-6040 to arrange a pick up. Retain the bottom of

the label for tracking information. The return must be completed within 30 days of product

delivery/receipt by you. A restock fee may be charged for these returns. Credit will be given

to your UCS account or your credit card account within 10 days of receipt of your product.

MATERIALS

Mats, pads, and special shapes feature

resilient polyethylene and polyurethane foam

LEGACY

The late Lou Schwartz, an entrepreneurial Czech immigrant,

arrived in New York City in 1953. Lou was an excellent craftsman

who descended from a long line of tailors back in what was then

Czechoslovakia. He had particular expertise in pattern making,

cutting, and sewing.

In 1967 Schwartz, his wife Margaret, and their son Jeffrey,

founded United Canvas and Sling, Inc. Working from an 1,800

square foot store in Hackensack, New Jersey, UCS manufactured

custom awnings, boat covers, and other canvas products such as

laundry bags (“slings”) for the linen-supply industry.

As a young man, Jeff had a tremendous interest in children with

learning disabilities. Working in consultation with Dave Marsh

of Ridgewood, NJ public schools and with Marsh's Physical

Education faculty, UCS began to design and manufacture gym

mats and skill-development equipment (such as the Trapezoid

and Mat-A-Matics) devoted to helping children achieve greater

motor and perceptual skills. Jeff and the UCS design team were

guided by the critical principle that "All children do not learn

the same, but all can learn." These pioneering vinyl and foam

learning tools were known as UCS Motor Perceptual Equipment.

They formed the basis for today’s expanded line of UCS Soft Play

Equipment.

The third generation family business continues to grow and
