CIMA Law Group is an immigration, business and
criminal law and personal injury law firm.
Legal side and a Government relations side
Ayensa Millan esq: head attorney of the legal side,
she manages three legal clerks, two legal assistants,
and an office administrator
Louie Lujan : head of government relations, he
participates in outreach, oversees all the interns, and
develops projects for CIMA

According to Louie Lujan, CIMA’s official mission is
“Our mission is to provide high quality legal services,
advocacy and personal services to our clients”
CIMA certainly meets this mission, the managing
attorney has experience working in advocacy and
outreach before beginning her own firm
Legal Clerks and Assistants work around the clock to
make sure every client’s need is met

From going to court to the occasional Starbucks run, I am
kept quite busy
Help file packets and forms
Create and edit client ‘declarations’
Watch surveillance videos
Speak one on one with clients
Assist legal clerk or attorney
Louie Lujan also will ask that interns work with with
government organizations

I started in December to get a head start and prime
myself
I worked on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all day.
Wednesday from 1-4
Hands-on experience by working closely with attorney
Understanding immigration and criminal law
Understanding legal terminology

Perfecting writing and reading skills
Understanding case laws
Understanding immigration processes and court
Ability to connect with clients and coworkers
Gained work ethic, patience, understanding
