30 AÑOS DE MOVIMIENTO COPLANETARIO
THIRTY YEARS OF COPLANETARY MOVEMENT
Una breve mirada atrás nos sitúa en la
trayectoria de este movimiento internacional
surgido en la década de los 70 con la finalidad
básica de fomentar una sana “UNIDAD
EN LA DIVERSIDAD” que , a groso modo,
implica dos tareas, las mismas que se
propuso COPLANET en aquellos
comienzos:
Fomentar el conocimiento y
enriquecimiento de la diversidad cultural,
social y epistemológica, como expresión del
infinito potencial creativo y polifacético del
ser humano que repele cualquier forma de
imperialismo social, político, cultural, etc.,
estando siempre abierto a nuevas iniciativas.
Buscar las cosas que nos unen,
reconociendo lo mucho que tenemos en
común en tanto que seres humanos que viven
en un mismo planeta y comparten necesidades
y aspiraciones, así como problemáticas y
limitaciones que requieren de la unión de
esfuerzos y la síntesis de aportaciones.
Hacer bien esas tareas supone un
trabajo individual y comunitario para superar
los antiguos esquemas mentales que conducen
a una visión limitada y egocéntrica del mundo
y transformarla paulatinamente en una visión
más global o coplanetaria.
A brief glance at the past takes us back to
a trajectory of international movement that
began in the 70s, with the basic aim of
fomenting a healthy “UNITY-IN-DIVERSITY,”
which , to a large extent involves two tasks,
the same ones proposed by COPLANET at
the start:
To encourage the knowledge and
enrichment of cultural, social and
epistemological diversity, as an expression
of the infinite and multifaceted creative
potential of the human being, which repels
all forms of social, political, and cultural
imperialism, etc., always remaining open to
new initiatives.
To search for the elements that
unite us, recognizing the many things we
have in common as human beings living on
the same planet and sharing the same needs
and aspirations, the same problems and
limitations, which require a joint effort and
a synthesis of contributions.
Carrying out these tasks well implies
an individual and community effort in order
to overcome antiquated mental sets that lead
to a limited and egocentric view of the world,
so that it can gradually be transformed into
a more global or coplanetary vision.
