Mr. Djebbari repeatedlyofUSCIS and his Congressional representatives to no avail.contactedDjebbari then came to CAIR-Columbus for help. CAIR-Mr.filed a lawsuit in federal court for Mr. Djebbari toColumbusthe delay. The lawsuit was successfully resolved and Mr.challengewas sworn in as a U.S. citizen.DjebbariMohammad Dada is a legal permanent resident of the UnitedMr.and an employee of a local mosque. Mr. Dada’s 4 teenageStateswere stuck overseas and unable to join their parents indaughtersbecause the U.S. Department of State failed toColumbustheir immigration applications for over 4 years. CAIR-adjudicatethen sued the U.S. Department of State to allow theColumbusdaughters to come to America. The lawsuit was successfullyDadaand the 4 teenagers were finally reunited with theirresolvedMounir Sanhaji is a local doctor who works for the U.S.Dr.of Veteran Affairs. He was a legal permanent residentDepartmentthe United States and had lived in Central Ohio for over 15ofDr. Sanhaji filed for citizenship but his application was notyears.for over 2 years. Even though Dr. Sanhaji had alreadyadjudicatedsecurity clearance for working at the U.S. Department ofreceivedAffairs, USCIS claimed that the delay was due to aVeteranbackground check. CAIR-Columbus filed a lawsuit inpendingcourt to compel the U.S. government to grant him hisfederalThe lawsuit was successfully resolved and Dr. Sanhajicitizenship.DELAYIMMIGRATIONRESOLVEDCASESfamily.was finally granted citizenship.5
