What we are made of :Our toolsAn ecosystem currency -CVDSConsilience Ventures DigitalShares (CVDS) are the unit ofcurrency on the Platform. Astartup issues shares inexchange for CVDS. Investorswill purchase CVDS to invest instartups on the platform.Experts will typically receivepayment in CVDS for theirservices. CVDS will entitleholders to all net income andgains realised by ConsilienceVentures, on a pro-rata basis,but typically with a vestingperiod of 2 years. CVDS is themechanism through which weensure aligned outcomesamongst our stakeholders –via a platform based onprinciples of trust, securityand consensus.Collaborative vetting andselectionStartups are selected bynetwork members –preselection takes place onthe platform, visible to allmembers. A qualifiedassessment team is thenassembled from networkmembers to guide the startupthrough detailed duediligence, planning, and dealnegotiation.Sprint Financing RoadmapsSprint Financing Roadmapsare created with the startupmanagement team,identifying the areas ofstrategic growth the businessneeds to succeed. Companiesare financed for the nextsprint (typically 3-6 months).Once that sprint is completeand assessed, the next sprintis planned in detail. This indepthplanning means ournetwork is truly “under thehood” with the startups andable to design and delivermeaningful interventions atthe right time.Capital as a Service modelCapital as a Service workshand in hand with SprintFinancing. While SprintFinancing delivers andsupports a regular rhythm tostartup growth, there arealways opportunities andthreats which cannot beanticipated. In these cases,Capital as a Service providesthe extra flexibility to givefounders the agility and abilityto raise money when it’srequired.Business IntelligenceWe are building an AI modelwhich will help us predict andavoid startup missteps andpitfalls. Within three years, wehope to be in a position toprovide market-first data intostartup health.Communication and sharingcapabilities:In-house hosted platformsthat enable real-timeconversation with peers,discussions on deals, workingwith startups, andcollaboration. Added to that,in-person and virtual eventsexploring interesting ideas,delving into complicatedproblems, and broadeningnetworks.
