Having successfully completed the FRCS exit examinations in 2009, Adj Asst
Prof Vijayan was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training. As part of
his post-exam fellowship year, he joined the Department of Vascular Surgery at
the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia, and focused on complex
endovascular and open vascular surgical management. He was exposed to a
substantial amount of vascular trauma–the result of a stint with the Western
Australian State Trauma Unit. Adj Asst Prof Vijayan is an active member of
several committees in JurongHealth, including the Patient Safety Workgroup, the
Diabetic Foot Workgroup, the Mortality & Morbidity Quality Assurance
Committee.
