CVI Research Description

As an interventional radiologist I have a longstanding interest in peripheral

vascular disease. My research focus has largely been in venous disease and

hemodialysis access with a particular focus in mechanical thrombectomy. My

clinical foci (and more recently research foci as well), as pertains to

cardiovascular disease in particular, are the management of pulmonary

arteriovenous malformations either related to or unrelated to hereditary

hemorrhagic telangiectasia, as part of the HHT center here at Penn; and venous

thromboembolic disease, in particular the management of removable inferior

vena caval filters.
