SUSTAINABILITY
We take our environmental responsibilities seriously.
We responsibly source materials and utilise factories that possess fair
and appropriate employee conditions.
Wherever possible, the waste generated from our production process
is recycled. Alexander Rose are careful not to “over-package” our
products and we always use recyclable packaging wherever possible.
Alexander Rose have pledged to eliminate the use of all avoidable
plastic waste. By the end of 2019 our objective is that there will be
no single use plastic used in any of our packaging or warehouse
operations.

FSC certified timber is vital to Alexander Rose and we comply with

the values of FSC , as defined in the “Policy for the association of

organisations with FSC ”. Alexander Rose is therefore proud to declare
it is not directly or indirectly involved in the following activities:

Illegal logging or the trade in illegal wood or forest products.
Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations.
Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations.
Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use.
Introductions of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations.
Violation of any of the ILO core conventions, as defined in the ILO
declaration in fundamental principles and rights at work, 1998.

SINGLE USE PLASTIC POLICY
Within the context of our Environmental Policy, we have made a
commitment to minimising our use of plastics and beating the UK
Government’s target of eliminating avoidable single-use plastic waste
before 2042. Our stated intention is to eliminate the use of single-use
plastic within our business by the end of summer 2019.
