Varsity baseball traveled to the Houston area for a DH against
the HCYA Eagles. Luke Batey, was brilliant on the bump, as
he threw a no-hitter with a winning score of 1-0! The Patriots
5 game win-streak began with an errorless victory against
Cigarroa in Laredo at the Border Olympics Tournament. The
Patriots’ reign continued as they were crowned Champions
at the Peter Garza Invitational in San Marcos. Varsity put up
six runs in the fourth inning. Thomas Yost, Holden Kennemer,
Will Muckleroy, and Aidan Meeks powered the big inning with
RBIs. Jackson Kennemer’s pitching was perfect, striking out ten
batters and not allowing a single run to score. Well done, Patriots!
After two months of practice, FEAST MS kicked off their season with their first
game and a big win against Concordia, 18-0! Pitchers, Tanner Gernenz, and
Trenton Otto, threw a combined shut-out. Gernenz surrendered zero runs on zero
hits, striking out five and walking one. Otto’s last out of the game ended with a
strikeout. The Patriots’ bats were strong at the plate with Asher Hubbard hitting
3 for 3 with a double and two singles. Bo Schott, Garrison Thomas, and Gernenz
also had multiple hits. Our MS boys stole fifteen bases with Andrew Meeks leading
the way with four stolen bases. We are excited for a great Middle School season!

Patriot Softball started their season off a little slow, dropping
their first three games of the 2020 season.
The coaching staff knew that this year would be tough as
this team is loaded with underclassmen. With a few more
practices and some tweaking of the batting line up, the
team woke up.
Patriots have rattled off seven consecutive wins and finished
second in the annual FEAST Softball Tournament.
When asked about the turning point Coach, Doug simply said, “Confidence the girls
are playing with confidence. Our pitchers are throwing the ball with great control and
our hitters are seeing the ball big, which means balls being hit hard and usually for extra
bases."
Patriot Softball is planning to keep up the momentum through their last several games.
Patriot Softball Middle School kicked off its inaugural season with a dominant win over
their first opponent. The coaching staff is super excited about this young group of girls.
