Systems to be checked during the
Preventive Maintenance of ICMs
The Customer shall make the following
checks on :
Mechanical System
Electrical System
Refrigeration System
for the preventive maintenance of the ICM’s
each time.

Installation
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers should be installed
in perfect condition according to the installation
manual.
� All Ice Cold Merchandisers must be sited on a
flat and firm base.
� Check the adjusting feet to level and steady the
Ice Cold Merchandisers.
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers should be plugged into
a nearby grounded socket.
� The cable should not be extended.
� The Ice Cold Merchandiser should be sited in a
well-ventilated location and should be left air
circulation around the Ice Cold Merchandiser.

Grids
� Check the front and back grid
� Grids should be always on the Ice Cold
Merchandisers as well as the back
spacer to maintain the gap behind the
cooler for proper heat dissipation .

� Single door Ice Cold
Merchandisers should be titling slightly
backwards (10%) to assist the door
closing.
�Check and Remove door stops from
the FVS1200 sliding rail before
operation (for FVS1800 the middle stop
should be left on).
�The sliding doors on double and
triple door Ice Cold Merchandisers
must always close automatically.
Door Closure
� Check and Clean rails and lubricate pulley wheels
on sliding doors Ice Cold Merchandisers.

Fan Motors & Drainage System
�Check the Evaporator and Condenser fan motors if
they are working, also fans grids.
�Check the drip tube(s) going into the drip tray.
�Check the drain if it is in proper position

Electrical Connections and Illumination System
� Check power cord condition as
well as the electrical connection box .
� Check lighting system (bulbs).
� Replace if blown, starter maybe
also need to be replaced.
� Always use ‘daylight’ type
Fluorescent tubes.

� Check thermostat position.
�Ideal position should be in
middle of the scale.
Condenser Cleaning
� The condenser should be checked twice per
year and cleaned if necessary with a soft brush ,
vacum cleaner or air gun.
�In case that the ICM is placed in an environment
where dust is accumulated on the condenser, then
the condenser has to be cleaned more often
This simple procedure will dramatically cut the
running cost of the Ice Cold Merchandisers .
Thermostat Adjustment

Products Placement
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers shelves should
be set out so as to minimize empty space
� Merchandise the Ice Cold Merchandiser to
planogram or agreed Ice Cold Merchandiser
bank layout and maintain stock levels to
minimize running cost.
� Instruct the customer fully on the safe
operation and cleaning of the Ice Cold
Merchandiser.
�Instruct outlet user on the products appropriate
placement in the cabinet not to block cold air
circulation
