Systems to be checked during the<br />
Preventive Maintenance of ICMs<br />
The Customer shall make the following<br />
checks on :<br />
Mechanical System<br />
Electrical System<br />
Refrigeration System<br />
for the preventive maintenance of the ICM’s<br />
each time.

Installation<br />
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers should be installed<br />
in perfect condition according to the installation<br />
manual.<br />
� All Ice Cold Merchandisers must be sited on a<br />
flat and firm base.<br />
� Check the adjusting feet to level and steady the<br />
Ice Cold Merchandisers.<br />
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers should be plugged into<br />
a nearby grounded socket.<br />
� The cable should not be extended.<br />
� The Ice Cold Merchandiser should be sited in a<br />
well-ventilated location and should be left air<br />
circulation around the Ice Cold Merchandiser.<br />

Grids<br />
� Check the front and back grid<br />
� Grids should be always on the Ice Cold<br />
Merchandisers as well as the back<br />
spacer to maintain the gap behind the<br />
cooler for proper heat dissipation .

� Single door Ice Cold<br />
Merchandisers should be titling slightly<br />
backwards (10%) to assist the door<br />
closing.<br />
�Check and Remove door stops from<br />
the FVS1200 sliding rail before<br />
operation (for FVS1800 the middle stop<br />
should be left on).<br />
�The sliding doors on double and<br />
triple door Ice Cold Merchandisers<br />
must always close automatically.<br />
Door Closure<br />
� Check and Clean rails and lubricate pulley wheels<br />
on sliding doors Ice Cold Merchandisers.

Fan Motors & Drainage System<br />
�Check the Evaporator and Condenser fan motors if<br />
they are working, also fans grids.<br />
�Check the drip tube(s) going into the drip tray.<br />
�Check the drain if it is in proper position<br />

Electrical Connections and Illumination System<br />
� Check power cord condition as<br />
well as the electrical connection box .<br />
� Check lighting system (bulbs).<br />
� Replace if blown, starter maybe<br />
also need to be replaced.<br />

Fluorescent tubes.

� Check thermostat position.<br />
�Ideal position should be in<br />
middle of the scale.<br />
Condenser Cleaning<br />
� The condenser should be checked twice per<br />
year and cleaned if necessary with a soft brush ,<br />
vacum cleaner or air gun.<br />
�In case that the ICM is placed in an environment<br />
where dust is accumulated on the condenser, then<br />
the condenser has to be cleaned more often<br />
This simple procedure will dramatically cut the<br />
running cost of the Ice Cold Merchandisers .<br />

Products Placement<br />
� The Ice Cold Merchandisers shelves should<br />
be set out so as to minimize empty space<br />
� Merchandise the Ice Cold Merchandiser to<br />
planogram or agreed Ice Cold Merchandiser<br />
bank layout and maintain stock levels to<br />
minimize running cost.<br />
� Instruct the customer fully on the safe<br />
operation and cleaning of the Ice Cold<br />
Merchandiser.<br />
�Instruct outlet user on the products appropriate<br />
placement in the cabinet not to block cold air<br />
circulation
