In 402 A.D., Aric of Dacia, heir to the<br />
Visigoth throne, lost everything. With<br />
his armies crushed in battle by Roman<br />
legions, his father dead, and his wife<br />
captive, Aric sought vengeance. In a cruel<br />
twist of fate, however, the Visigoth warrior<br />
found himself and his fellow countrymen<br />
enslaved by a merciless, galactic empirebuilding<br />
alien race. After years of brutal<br />
captivity, Aric led a revolt, storming the<br />
hallowed temple where the Vine kept<br />
their most sacred relic: Shanhara, the<br />
sentient X-O Manowar armor. Believing<br />
all of his men had been killed in the Vine<br />
counterattack, Aric blasted his way out of<br />
the Vine ship and escaped.<br />
Arriving in modern day Rome, X-O<br />
Manowar established himself as an<br />
unlikely hero, teaming with Earth’s most<br />
powerful individuals in an effort to defend<br />
his newfound home. Earth’s greatest<br />
defender, however, may ultimately prove<br />
to be its greatest threat. From the farthest<br />
reaches of space, an elite squadron<br />
known as the Armor Hunters have come<br />
to Earth with one goal in mind: to find and<br />
destroy the X-O Manowar armor.<br />
After discovering the armor’s<br />
whereabouts, the Hunters contacted<br />
Aric and his government handler, Colonel<br />
Capshaw, demanding they relinquish the<br />
armor. When Capshaw refused to give up<br />
the U.S.’s greatest tactical advantage, the<br />
Hunters gave the world an unforgettable<br />
display of their true power: in the blink of<br />
an eye they destroyed Mexico City,<br />
killing millions…
