7Software FeaturesACCESS RIGHTSOilwatch systems have four levels ofAccess rights built into the software.Each of the 5000 available users canbe assigned access as required for fullaccess as a Manager, Reporting, BulkTransfer & Dispensing.Pin no’s can be assigned workinghours, days and keypads to assurethe manager that the system is onlyavailable to the users when they areworking.These options have been designedinto the system as standard features toprovide managers with the flexibility torun the business without being on siteall of the time.NETWORKINGPc Oilwatch comes with two databaseoptions. The standard single-use versionuses a Microsoft access database.For other options the system can behosted on Microsoft SQL server to makebackups easy for administrators. TheSQL also offers advance software thatwill allow the Pc Oilwatch to run as aviewer program on networked PC’s.It also allows multiple systems to bejoined into a single database.DATA EXCHANGEThird party software is able to interfacewith Pc Oilwatch using either DDE, XMLmessaging or two way ASCIl file link.The software has been written to allowthe Pc Oilwatch software to receivedata from other applications e.g.Job Numbers, Licence Numbers, fleetNumbers. This information is storedwithin Pc Oilwatch to allow operatorinputs to be validated.The software also allows otherapplications access to transactioninformation for use within theirsystems.VALIDATION CODESPc Oilwatch can use validation codesfor each of the four user promptinputs. “Prompt replies” can be givena maximum number of attempts withlimited grade and volume usage.REPORTSPc Oilwatch is supplied with a two partreports package, standard or advanced.StandardStandard reports for tank contents,product usage, operator usage andaudit trail can be obtained under thereport menu.AdvancedAdvanced reports, transaction informationcan be correlated using the built in fullyflexible reports generator as defined bythe users.The reporting package allows the userto design a transaction report to suitthe unique requirements of the businessby simply picking the information andlayout required for the report.The report can be given a title. Furtheroptions are available to allow theuser to include totals, create a reportsummary layout or to break the page.Normal print and font options allow foreasy use of this valuable reporting tool.The reports are easy to use and quicklytake the user through the set-upprocedure. The report structure caneven be saved to allow fast re-use.
