Is it fair for Shakespeare to overshadow Cervantes?

Introduction
In the following text, i Will speak about the recognition of the contribution in
Spanish and English languages realized by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and William
Shakespeare repectively. Definitely they are the most great wirters in the history, at
least in the western hemisphere of the planet. However, it is analyzed, why Shakespere
is more remembered than Cervantes, and why his novels are more commercial and
popular in our generation.
My point of view.
In relation to the article entitled "Is it fair for Shakespeare to overshadow
Cervantes?" I can say the following: in the first place, The article leads to the error of
thinking that Shakespeare was better than Cervantes, when in fact what happened is
that the event commemorating the 400 years of death was more publicized for the case
of Shakespeare than for the case of Cervantes .Secondly, yes, I consider it unfair that
Shakespeare has more recognition in this generation, especially those of us who speak
Spanish, since Cervantes considers himself the father of our language, but I consider
that it is more a matter of popularity than quality
Conclusion
Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare are the most greatest writers in
the history. However, in the recents generations, Shakespeare is more popular,
because his novels have been adapted to theater, and movies, and the novels of
Cervantes are not. On the other hand, English language is currently most used,
because is considered the language of business, so, a lot of people use the english
language, and have the opportunity to read Shakespeare novels..
