HI! The name’s Cheyanne Malecek and you’re more than likely going to find
me with a glass of coffee in hand, wearing all black. Born and raised in the land
of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota, and currently living in lovely Denver, Colorado. Art
and creating is something that’s always been done on the side throughout life
and now it’s turned into a wonderful career path. Mixed media is my true love
but any design challenge is more then accepted. Music and nature have always
been huge influences in life and reflects throughout my work. Welcome to a
display of work that has been done and always more to come.

“The Department of Education wants to make the
alphabet shorter. Their idea is the using less letters than
the current alphabet, will make reading easier for
kids.”
This spread was designed to defend the letter D in the
circumstances that the government was removing
letters from the alphabet.

energy drink
Celestial Seasonings’ marketing strategy is to expand
its product offering by developing enhancement
beverages for the energy drink market. Design teams
were to design the new packaging and build brand
awareness on the shelf and in the cold case.
These cans were designed with a younger
demographic in mind, aiming to catch the eye of
potential consumers with a powerful presence.

A night to remember…

concert for Aretha Franklin using a radial grid layout.
The final concept is bright and eye catching with a
heavy typographic presence.
