2.3. Conduct baseline (KAP and parasitological) surveys.<br />

2.3.1. Map out existing health, education and sanitary facilities in the<br />

model project site.<br />

2.3.2. Select the target schools for baseline survey.<br />

2.3.3. Organize the training workshops for teachers, health volunteers,<br />

parents and key persons in the communities.<br />

2.3.4. Conduct the baseline survey based on the operational study<br />

planning.<br />

2.3.5. Analyze and evaluate the baseline survey data<br />

2.3.6. Make the baseline report.<br />

2.3.7. Organize report meetings for pupils, teachers, parents and other key<br />

persons.<br />

2.4. Implement ‘control activities’.<br />

2.4.1. Conduct periodic deworming activities at the target schools and<br />

communities.<br />

2.4.2. Conduct periodic health education activities at the target schools<br />

and communities.<br />

2.4.3. Implement the ‘control activities’ at the selected schools (providing<br />

water supply, toilet facilities, waste disposal facilities etc.) in<br />

collaboration with other development partners.<br />

2.4.4. Monitor and evaluate control activities.<br />

2.4.5. Conduct ‘Operational Research’.<br />

2.4.6. Publish and disseminate the results.<br />

2.5. Build human capacity in the model project site.<br />

2.5.1. Recruit personnel for model project site activities.<br />

2.5.2. Train local human resources such as laboratory technicians, health<br />

volunteers, etc. for the purpose of enhancing sustainability of the<br />

activities.<br />

2.5.3. Organize periodical SHEP Coordinators and teachers training for<br />

promoting <strong>WACIPAC</strong> health education interventions.<br />

2.6. Build physical facilities in the model project site.<br />

2.6.1. Inspect the existing facilities, equipment and means of transportation<br />

in the model project site<br />

2.6.2. Improve the existing facilities, equipment and means of<br />

transportation.<br />
