Joint 2009 AREUEA – <strong>AsRES</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Conference</strong><br />

<strong>July</strong> 11-14, 2009<br />

Los Angeles, California, USA<br />

What <strong>and</strong> When. You are invited by the American Real Estate <strong>and</strong> Urban Economics<br />

Association (AREUEA) <strong>and</strong> the Asian Real Estate Society (<strong>AsRES</strong>) to participate in their joint<br />

<strong>International</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> to take place <strong>July</strong> 11-14, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The<br />

academic conference will be held on the University of California at Los Angeles Campus<br />

(UCLA), hosted by the Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate, in Westwood, California. It<br />

will provide a forum for academics, practitioners <strong>and</strong> policymakers to present, hear, <strong>and</strong> discuss<br />

the latest research findings in the areas of urban economics, real estate markets, real estate<br />

finance, development <strong>and</strong> investment, <strong>and</strong> housing.<br />

Submissions. Papers <strong>and</strong>/or abstracts MUST BE submitted online via the AREUEA conference<br />

website at http: //www.areuea.org/conferences/papers.phtml or by following the links from the<br />

AREUEA <strong>AsRES</strong> pages to the <strong>International</strong> <strong>Conference</strong>. Select, “On-line Submission” <strong>and</strong> be<br />

sure to specify “2009 <strong>International</strong> <strong>Conference</strong>.” Abstracts must be submitted by January 26,<br />

2009 <strong>and</strong> provide the following information: Title of the paper, two of three key words<br />

indicating the topic, corresponding author’s name, institutional affiliation, complete address,<br />

telephone, facsimile <strong>and</strong> e-mail address. Contact information is requested for each additional<br />

author. Preference will be given to complete papers.<br />

Session Language. Depending on dem<strong>and</strong>, we will offer sessions in Chinese (M<strong>and</strong>arin),<br />

Japanese, <strong>and</strong> Korean. Submitters must indicate their preferred session language at the time of<br />

paper submission.<br />

Tentative Timetable<br />

� 28 February 2009 Deadline for submission of papers or abstracts<br />

� 31 March 2009 Notification to authors<br />

� 1 May 2009 Deadline for conference registration/Hotel booking<br />

� 8 June 2009 Submission of Final Paper<br />
