FESTIVAL KICK-OFF “BREAKFAST”
SET FOR NEW LOCATION AND TIME
Our Annual Awards Breakfast that officially kicks off our 3-day Italian Festival, is set for a new site this
year. Set for Friday, July 8th at 9:00 AM, the Awards Breakfast will be at the beautiful Tuscany Room of
LA PIZZARIA Restorante located at 3656 Dressler NW in Canton. The new venue
will offer a comfortable air-conditioned, beautiful setting for the presentation of our
Awards and Recognitions. In addition, our Banquet committee has prepared a wonderful
25 year review “slide show” presentation for your viewing pleasure during the delicious
breakfast meal. You’ll be able to view people, places and events of the past 25
years. You won’t want to miss our 25th Anniversary Breakfast.
Please note: We are happy to announce - No increase in our Breakfast price.

To celebrate our 25th Anniversary Year, our Italian Festival is presenting a
$2,500.00 Give-Away to a lucky Festival attendee! YES! You are reading this
correctly. One lucky Italian Festival patron will take home a cash give-away of
$2,500.00! Here’s how it works. Each person who enters the Festival grounds
will be issued a “GIVE-AWAY” ticket that must be filled out with name and phone number and deposited in
the Festival Drum which will be located at the Festival Souvenir Booth in the CRAFT HALL. On Sunday
evening the drum will be churned and swirled and a lucky ticket will be drawn. The winning phone number
will be called - that person will be issued a check to the amount of $2,500.00! No purchase necessary!
Attend the Festival 3 days...you will receive 3 “give-away” tickets! It’s our way of saying…..

time toward our Stark County

BOCCE TOURNAMENT
It has been said that our Festa Bocce Courts
are the “best in the area”. For this, we give
credit to Bocce Chairman, Dino Capuano and
his crew. They spend many hours manicuring,
leveling and setting the courts for tournament
play. The end result is FANTASTIC!

We invite you to register your 4-person
Bocce Team for tournament play. Both Men
and Women Tournaments will be scheduled.

Our Festival Catholic Mass is set for Sunday,
July 10th at 12:30 PM with Fr. Tom
Bishop, pastor of St Anthony/All Saints
Parish, as celebrant. The wonderful voices
of the Choir will provide music.

OHIO’S LARGEST LINE DANCE PARTY
The Canton Italian Festival has become “home” to Ohio’s Largest Line
Dance Party. Hosted by Award Winning, Line Dance Instructor, Frank
Trace. The Line Dance Party attracts dancers from all across Ohio & surrounding
states. From “Beginner” to “Intermediate & Advanced” the Line
Dancers will be dancing their favorites to all kinds of music.
The Dance Party is located in the ROMA HALL on Saturday night.

Each year, our Festival offers a Souvenir Program Book. In celebration of our 25th Anniversary,
the book this year has many special features including pictures,
schedules, Patron & Memorial Listings. Our Festival Program Book will make
a wonderful “Keepsake” Souvenir of the 25th Anniversary Festival.
* Complimentary Program Books are issued to all who attend the
AWARDS BREAKFAST. The Books @ $1.00 are also available at our Official
Festival Souvenir Booth located in the Craft Hall.
* Our Souvenir Booth Chairperson, Sue Leon will be happy to help as you
look over the many Souvenir Selections including mugs, clothing, key chains, bocce balls and
an array of Italian Items at our Official Italian Festival Souvenir Booth which is located in the

Our Annual Festival Program Book serves as a wonderful ITALIAN FESTIVAL SOUVENIR.
Each year our Italian Festival publishes a very popular PROGRAM BOOK. Our 25th Anniversary
Souvenir Book is sure to be especially popular as a keepsake. The Program Book features Festival Highlights,
Pictures of Past Festivals, Entertainment Schedules, Past/Present Festival Award Recipients, Pictures of
Scholarship Recipients and a host of interesting and informational materials. A definite highlight of the book
each year has been the listing of people who wish to be named as Festival Patrons as well as a Memorial
Page that Honors Deceased Friends, Relatives or Family Members.
We invite you to list YOUR Name as a Festival Patron. We also invite you to honor the name of a

Sixty-one requests for Scholarship Applications were received from Stark County High School Graduating
Seniors. The Seven person Selection Committee was charged with the task of making the difficult choice of
selecting six recipients who would each receive a $2,000.00 Italian Festival Scholarship. The Scholarship recipients
will be introduced and will be awarded their Scholarship checks as part of the Awards Breakfast on
July 8th in the Tuscany Banquet Room of LA PIZZARIA RESTORANTE. Scholarship funds are made
possible thru proceeds of our annual Italian Festival. Breakfast Order Forms are available in this newsletter.
