Our Annual Awards Breakfast that officially kicks off our 3-day <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, is set for a new site this<br />

year. Set for Friday, July 8th at 9:00 AM, the Awards Breakfast will be at the beautiful Tuscany Room of<br />

LA PIZZARIA Restorante located at 3656 Dressler NW in Canton. The new venue<br />

will offer a comfortable air-conditioned, beautiful setting for the presentation of our<br />

Awards and Recognitions. In addition, our Banquet committee has prepared a wonderful<br />

25 year review “slide show” presentation for your viewing pleasure during the delicious<br />

breakfast meal. You’ll be able to view people, places and events of the past 25<br />

years. You won’t want to miss our 25th Anniversary Breakfast.<br />

BOCCE TOURNAMENT<br />

It has been said that our <strong>Festa</strong> Bocce Courts<br />

are the “best in the area”. For this, we give<br />

credit to Bocce Chairman, Dino Capuano and<br />

his crew. They spend many hours manicuring,<br />

leveling and setting the courts for tournament<br />

play. The end result is FANTASTIC!<br />

Sixty-one requests for Scholarship Applications were received from Stark County High School Graduating<br />

Seniors. The Seven person Selection Committee was charged with the task of making the difficult choice of<br />

selecting six recipients who would each receive a $2,000.00 <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> Scholarship. The Scholarship recipients<br />

will be introduced and will be awarded their Scholarship checks as part of the Awards Breakfast on<br />

July 8th in the Tuscany Banquet Room of LA PIZZARIA RESTORANTE. Scholarship funds are made<br />

possible thru proceeds of our annual <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>. Breakfast Order Forms are available in this newsletter.<br />
