Installation of Ga

Mantse uncustomary

BY PRINCE ESSIEN

• Says Abola Piam Royal House

ONE OF the

Royal houses of

the Ga Paramount

Stool, the

Abola Royal

House, has described the recent

installation of King Dr

Kelvin Teiko Tackie Tsuru II

as Ga Mantse as uncustomary.

It is their contention that the

Justice V.C.R.A.C. Crabbe Committee

formed by the Gborbu

Wulomo to investigate and come

out with a legitimate person has

no capacity to install a Ga Mantse.

They, therefore, described the

processes leading to the installation

of the new Ga Mantse as

"unacceptable and uncustomary."

Addressing a press conference

to set the records straight in

Accra, the Ga Abola Royal Stool

Dzasetse, Nii Okai Awua II, said

the Justice Crabbe committee's report

which the Kingmakers acted

on ought to have been put before

Parliament for debate or consideration

as was done in the Dagbon

Chieftaincy dispute.

According to him, at the time

of the setting up of the commission,

there were cases pending before

the Greater Accra Regional

House of Chiefs and the High

Court.

Nii Awua also averred that

since Boni Nii Tackie Adama

Latse was holding himself as Ga

Mantse with a gazette which has

not been nullified, any other installation

done for anyone to assume

the position of Ga Mantse

is null and void, adding that “it is

of no legal and customary consequence”.

He also pointed out that a

bench warrant for the arrest of

Boni Nii Adams Latse is still active

and the Court has not given

judgement and any action contrary

to what is happening in

Court is nothing but “contempt

of Court.”

• Some elders during the installation of Tackie Tsuru II

Nii Awua also averred that

since Boni Nii Tackie

Adama Latse was holding

himself as Ga Mantse with

a gazette which has not

been nullified, any other

installation done for anyone

to assume the position

of Ga Mantse is null

and void, adding that “it is

of no legal and customary

consequence”.

He said the

traditional

norms, rights,

practices, protocols,

usages and

procedures make

it suicidal for Dr

Teiko Tsuru to

be the Ga

Mantse.

2005 MoU

overlooked

He also explained

that in

March 29, 2005,

a Memorandum of Understanding

(MoU) which was signed by all

the royal gates to the effect of installing

a Ga Mantse was never

made available to the Justice

V.C.R.A.C. Crabe Commission.

According to that MoU, it was

agreed that “the customary

Mantse cloth from the last ruling

gate (Amugi We) shall be delivered

to the Elder and Representative

of Abola Piam We for the Ga

Mantse-elect according to the recognized

customary Rotation Succession.”

The MoU also indicated clearly

that Nii Tackie Tawiah II ruled

from 1944 – 1947, Nii Tackey

Kommey II took over as Ga

Mantse from 1948 – 1962 and Nii

Amugi II ruled from 1965 – 2004

and these three Kings were from

Teiko Tsuru We, Tackey Kommey

We and Nii Amugi We respectively.

“So all these three Royal Ruling

Houses had had their turns,

including Teiko Tsuru We where

Dr Kelvin Tackie hails from.

This is the turn of Abola Piam

We and nobody can revert that,”

he said.

He also stressed that installation

done last weekend was carried

out by illegitimate persons

who have no capacity to install a

Ga Mantse.

“Even the VCRAC Crabbe

Commission lacked the capacity

to choose and install a Ga Mantse,

let alone Gborbu Wulomo,” he

noted.

He, therefore, stated in authority

that “Dr Kelvin Tackie is not, I

repeat, not Ga Mantse and all

those who transact any business

with him in that capacity do so at

their own risk.”

He also stressed

that installation

done last weekend

was carried

out by illegitimate

persons who

have no capacity

to install a Ga

Mantse.

Jubilation galore at

Pentecost Isolation Centre

BY PHILIP ANTOH

philip.antoh@dailyheritage.com.gh

THERE WAS wild jubilation

in the form of singing and

dancing when over 200 suspected

Covid-19 patients at

Pentecost Isolation Centre at

Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region were

asked to go home yesterday.

This means that these people have

gone through all the three stages of testing

at the centre and all their tests have

proven negative.

Information gathered indicates that

the centre is made up of blocks A, B and

C. The first two blocks, A and B, house

confirmed Covid-19 patients while the

last block, C, houses suspected patients

whose first test proved negative but have

to await second and third tests.

“As it is now, all the patients at Block C

have been discharged by health professionals

at the centre for them to reunite

with their families because they have no

Covid-19,” a source told the DAILY

HERITAGE.

While some were singing and dancing

for being discharged, others in blocks A

and B, numbering over 500, were sighted

in a sorrowful mood because some of

them were yet to complete their treatment

and possible recovery from the disease.

The people who were released were

The heads of senior high schools

The exercise is a collaboration between

Ghana Education Service and

ZGL, and it is aimed at dealing with

bed-bugs infestation in the schools.

The eight-day exercise began on

Tuesday, May 12, 2020, and is expected

to cover about 64 SHSs in the

various districts across the region.

Some of the schools which were

covered on the first day were John

Withdraw 18% tax on electricity now

BY KOBINA WELSING

THE MINORITY in

Parliament is demanding

the immediate

withdrawal of

over 18% tax on

electricity as it warns

of dire consequences on domestic

consumers.

Their demand comes after the

Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA)

tasked the Electricity Company of

Ghana (ECG) to charge Value

Added Tax, (VAT) on domestic

consumers.

• Minority to govt

Until now, electricity for consumers

has been zero-rated for

VAT since 2001.

Addressing the media in Parliament,

the minority spokesperson

on Mines and Energy, Mr Adam

Mutawakilu, accused the President

of giving 50 perfect rebates to

consumers with one hand and taking

it back with another.

The Damango Member of Parliament

(MP) warned that both

consumers and ECG would be

worse-off with the move.

“That means that you will pay

more for electricity, it will deny

you the food that you buy because

you have to do your scale of

preference and consumers will be

burdened the more…so this 50%

was just to deceive Ghanaians, so

you gave it to Ghanaians with one

hand and then you take it with another

hand.”

The decision to impose VAT

on electricity for consumers

comes a month after the President

reduced electricity consumption

by 50% for commercial and domestic

consumers and free for

lifeline consumers.

“That means that you will pay more for

electricity, it will deny you the food that

you buy because you have to do your

scale of preference and consumers will

be burdened the more…so this 50%

was just to deceive Ghanaians, so you

gave it to Ghanaians with one hand and

then you take it with another hand.”

Lockdown won’t work

– Health Minister

EITHER GENERAL or partial

lockdown does not seem to be in

the books of the government as

part of measures to fight the Covid-

19 pandemic, Health Minister, Mr

Kwaku Agyemang Manu has suggested.

According to him, the recent

partial lockdown of Greater Accra

and Greater Kumasi has taught the

government a lot of things per the

severe impact it had on the nation.

He further advised that all that

people have to do now is to learn to

live with the disease by following

the laid-down protocols.

Answering a question at yesterday’s

Ministry of Information press

briefing as to whether Obuasi would

be on lockdown due to the high

number of coronnavirus cases it has

recorded, Mr Manu said he did not

believe a lockdown would work any

longer.

He said “generally, a lockdown is

not something that we believe is

going to work any longer. Now we

have realized the lockdown taught

us a lot of things and the impact is

quite severe. So what we have to do

now is to learn to live with the disease.”

He, however, indicated that the

Director General of the Ghana

Health Service was in Obuasi with a

group of epidemiologists and until

they come back with their report,

“we must be very careful as to

whether we are talking about a lockdown

in Obuasi,” he said.

North Dayi Assembly distributes 10,000 nose

masks to residents

BY FAISEL ABDUL-IDDRISU

THE NORTH Dayi District Assembly

in the Volta Region has commenced

the mass distribution of a

total of 10,000 locally-manufactured

nose masks to some identifiable

groups and residents across the district.

The distribution exercise, which is

being led by the District Chief Executive,

Kudjoh Attah, has already covered

the Anfoega market, the Vakpo

and Anfoega lorry parks and Okada

boys, shop owners and some vulnerable

groups, including the disabled.

The distribution exercise, according

to the DCE, would cover all public

places within the district in a bid to

curb the spread of the deadly novel

coronavirus from entering the district.

He said, "This exercise is intended

to ensure strict enforcement and adherence

to the President's directive on

the wearing of nose masks at public

places. So we are doing this to ensure

that those who may not be able to

buy one for themselves can have this

to protect themselves."

He added that, "The virus is already

in Kpando, Hohoe and Ho and

these are places very close to us, so

it's our greatest responsibility to do

everything humanly possible to ensure

that it doesn't get to us," while

adding that, "we have already made

provisions for two isolation centres

•Mr Kudjoh Attah, MCE for North Dayi, distributing the nose mask

but it is our hope that we don't record

any positive case."

Since the outbreak and the subsequent

ban on social gatherings, the

Assembly, according the authorities,

has been very critical on the need for

residents to ensure adherence, especially

to the 'not more than 25 persons

burial' directive by the President.

Traders in the Anfoega market,

which is the only major market in the

district, have also been divided into

two groups; one of which has been

moved to a school park to ensure absolute

compliance with the social distancing

protocol in the market.

According to Mr. Attah, the Assembly's

constant consultation with

the various stakeholders ahead of the

enforcement of some these measures

has led to a huge success as far as

compliance is concerned.

"You would observe that there

seems to be some significant level of

compliance with the directives among

residents across the district but that

has only been possible due to the rigorous

consultation we had with all

stakeholders prior to the implementation

of these directives.

“It is for these reasons that traders

in the Anfoega market are able to

move to the new space when the Assembly

decided to move part of the

market to the other end to ensure the

social distancing protocol," he stated.

He urged residents to continue to

remain calm but vigilant and critical

of the safety measures in ensuring

that the district is free from the novel

coronavirus pandemic.

The district assembly has so far

distributed over 200 Veronica buckets

and hand sanitizers to offices and

public places in the district to ensure

regular hand washing.

DAILY HERITAGE FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2020

Editorial

Law on careless driving must be reformed

ONE WONDERS when road accidents

would not be too much of a

bother in the country, not because

they would not happen, but because

they would happen purely for technical

causes that were beyond detection.

The DAILY HERITAGE is saying

this because most of the accidents

people suffer in the country

come as a result of human errors

that mostly could be avoided. For instance,

speeding and wrongful overtaking

are typical examples of

human errors that can completely be

avoided.

It beats the imagination of rightthinking

people why a driver should

assume that his counterpart coming

from the opposite direction would

definitely do some defensive driving

if he misbehaves. Sometimes

some drivers do wrong overtaking

and force drivers from the opposite

direction to save the situation.

Sometime ago the observation

was that commercial drivers were

mostly the offenders. Currently that

observation never holds because

drivers of V8 vehicles and other

4WD vehicles, and tipper truck drivers

are the worst offenders. Drivers

of these vehicles exploit the speed,

the size, strength and even ownership

to bulldoze their way to the hurt

of other road users.

This said, speeding and wrong

overtaking could be blamed for most

accidents. The accident near

Komenda this week that has so far

claimed 35lives, according to sources

came as a result of wrong overtaking.

Drivers continue to kill innocent

people, nation builders who were

playing various roles to help build

the nation. Reports about the

Komenda accident says the drivers

of the two vehicles involved in the

accident died. Sad.

Sometimes some reckless drivers

are able to save their lives and at

times come out of accidents unscathed

while they kill others or

maim others for life and their punishments

are usually fines. Can’t the

nation change or amend the laws on

driving?

The DAILY HERITAGE believes

that since drivers of today

have decided to focus only on the

money they would make and so are

fond of speeding and wrongful

overtaking, the country should have

laws that can charge drivers with

manslaughter and other crimes that

attract serious sentences without parole.

Even certain technical faults

should be punished if they are found

to have been ignored by the drivers.

Also, there must be police officers

stationed at stations where passengers

pick vehicles for long or out-oftown

journeys, and they should tell

the passengers what the law expects

the drivers to do on the road while

passengers are given the right to report

reckless drivers to the police

once two or more of them can bear

SHSHs across the country.

He described the fumigation exercise

as ‘timely’, adding that it would

help a great deal to rid the schools of

bed-bugs and their attendant health

implications.

According to him, his school has

had to battle with bed-bugs over the

past years, albeit with little success.

“In our effort to deal with the

bugs, the school sometimes engaged

people to spray its facilities. Unfortunately,

this does not last long as in

some cases just after two weeks of

the exercise we are caught up again

having to battle with bed-bugs,” the

head of Mansen SHS said.

Against this backdrop, Mr Takyi

commended Zoomlion and GES for

the initiative.

He, however, made a fervent appeal

for the exercise to be conducted

frequently.

“I thank GES and Zoomlion for

this exercise… and I am hopeful that

it will bring the bed-bugs infestation

in the schools under control and also

kill other harmful insects which

sometimes find their way to the

school compound,” he expressed.

“What is more” with the fumigation

of the school was that teaching

and learning would be conducted in a

conducive environment when the

school re-opened.

For his part, the Headmaster of

Wamanafo Secondary Technical High

School, Thomas Asante Armstrong,

shared the suggestion of testing students

when schools re-opened, but

focused his remarks on serious infrastructure

lack in his school.

He lamented that his school could

not even boast a staff common room

for the tutors, revealing that “my

teachers have been sitting under a

tree and using the place as a staff

common room.”

Furthermore, he disclosed that his

school was grappling with the issue

of congestion. This, he noted, was

“In our effort to deal with the bugs, the school sometimes

widespread in the classrooms and in

the few dormitories that they have.

He, therefore, appealed to the

Ministry of Education to come to

their aid.

The Headmaster of St Augustine’s

SHS, Berekum, Reverend Father

Hubert Asante, was full of

praise for GES and Zoomlion.

He called for the fumigation exercise

to be done at least every three

months, insisting that would deal effectively

with the bed-bug infestations

in the schools across the

country.

The exercise saw classrooms, dining

halls, dormitories, student mattresses,

administration blocks, sick

bays, staff members’ bungalows and

other places of the various schools

fumigated.

It would be recalled that the Minister

of Education, Dr Matthew

Opoku Prempeh, in April this year

launched a nationwide exercise to fumigate

and disinfect all SHSs in the

country in a bid to prevent the spread

of the deadly coronavirus and also

deal with bed-bugs infestation.

Govt blowing millions to revive

Airbus scandal – ASEPA

THE ALLIANCE for

Social Equity and

Public Accountability

(ASEPA) has accused

the

government of

spending taxpayer’s money to revive

the Airbus scandal in an attempt

to smear former President

John Mahama.

According to ASEPA, people

close to President Nana Akufo-

Addo are the main architects of

the plot to sustain issues about

Airbus in both international and

local media.

In a statement, ASEPA said:

“Yes, folks, your Government is

spending millions of your taxes to

attempt to influence newspapers

and online portals in Europe to

revive Airbus DPA to smear its

political opponent, Mr John Mahama.”

“Unfortunately for the government,

several of the most reputable

media outlets in Europe

have declined to swallow the bait

based on what they describe as serious

privacy concerns (which was

very prime in the Airbus investigations

in the UK.)

A close relative of President

Nana Akufo-Addo is the Chief

Architect of this Airbus revival

agenda and has control of a huge

slush fund containing millions of

dollars to achieve the objective.”

The statement signed by the

Executive Director of the group,

Mr Mensah Thompson, claimed:

“The Special Prosecutor’s Office

is the conduit through which this

smear campaign is being coordinated.

It will be recalled that pressure

from the Presidency was

brought to bear

on the Office

of the Special

Prosecutor to

publish the biodata

of some

foreign nationals

and invite

them to his office

for questioning(even

though he

knows that was

practically impossible)

just to

incite more international

attention

on the

case amidst serious

privacy issues

which, we believe, can later

have serious consequences for us

as a country if these foreign nationals

decide to seek legal redress

for that reckless action by the Special

Prosecutor.”

“Was this reprieve granted the

Special Prosecutor in order to influence

his subsequent conduct?”

“Recently there have been

many behind-the-scenes movements

aimed at putting pressure

on the Special Prosecutor to

achieve parochial political interests.

There are many questions

begging for answers. For instance,

why was there an almost complete

change in the panel in the course

of the trial with the newly-appointed

Chief Justice installing

himself as the head of the panel?

Why was there a surprise adjournment

two weeks ago when the

court was about to give its ruling?

And what was the subject of the

closed-door discussion between

the President and Martin Amidu

before the Supreme Court verdict

was given?”

The ASEPA said they were

raising such questions to prompt

the public to the fact that the government

wasting public funds on a

case that would end nowhere.

Ghanaian artist signed

unto Mugeez’s Extrial

music label is out with his second

song ‘Chan Chan Lady’

‘Chan Chan Lady’ is scheduled to

be released today, Friday, May 15,

2020, under Extrial Music after his

first one, ‘Fantasy’

According to him, ‘Chan Chan

Lady’ is a romantic and catchy

Afrobeats song produced by iPappi,

known for his production of Stonebwoy’s

‘Ololo’.

“‘Chan Chan Lady’ was greatly inspired

by the Highlife genre, which

originates from Ghana,” Tecknikal

said, and added that he wanted to pay

tribute to his roots, and he has most

definitely done this with this wonderful

song ‘Chan Chan Lady’ which is

Tecknikal’s first single in 2020.

The video was shot and directed

by David Duncan, who worked with

artistes such as La Même, Joey B and

Mugeez of R2bees.

Release day for the visuals is Sunday,

May 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Ghana

time.

Tecknikal came to Ghana to shoot

the video, which was edited by

Damola Ajanaku of Victorious Films.

•Earl Owusu Ansah

“I definitely wanted the video to

be shot in Ghana, the birthplace of

Highlife music. I left Ghana when I

was 15 but it will always be my home.

Most of my musical inspiration roots

in Ghana,” explains Tecknikal.

About Tecknikal

Tecknikal was born in Kumasi on

September 16, 1997. He was raised

with his two brothers by their grandparents

at Famesua in the Ashanti Region,

after his parents, Freda Osei

Bonsu and Kwame Owusu Ansah divorced.

Tecknikal and his brothers

were with their grandparents until he

turned 15 and in 2013 he travelled

with his brothers to live with their

mother in the USA.

He attended kindergarten at the

Schooling Stars Academy, completed

preparatory school at M. A. Bediako

Adventist Preparatory school and JHS

at Adventist Junior High School in

Amakom, all in the Ashanti region of

Ghana.

Tecknikal had his second cycled

education at the Kumasi Anglican

Senior High School from SHS 1 to the

second term of SHS 2. He continued

his high school education at the Westerville

South High School, Columbus,

Ohio, and graduated in 2016.

He went to Columbus State College

for a semester, he said, and “this

time I was also working on my music

so eventually, I took a break from college

to focus on music full time.”

Technikal, technically started his

music journey in 2016, where he

dropped the ‘Styla season’ album, the

‘Guapanese’ mixtape, an EP dubbed

‘Dedication’ and some good amount

of singles, “which are all available on

most streaming platforms under his

stage name Tecknikal.

It’s safe to say I have over 30

songs out online. I have worked with

numerous producers but noticeably

Oge Beats and DCQ beats.”

Tecknikal belongs to the group

that supports 100% authentic music,

especially to the class that is not limited

by music genres, he can be called

a multi-genre artiste because he likes

to experiment a lot and is always ready

to showcase his versatility on different

sounds.

The young artiste aspires to be the

one to change the phase of Afrobeat

worldwide. He takes inspiration from

legends such as Sarkodie, R2bees,

Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and more.

“I would want to continue their

good works and put a magnifying

glass on the map of Ghana for the

whole world to see how exceptional

and influential we are to modern

music, especially Afrobeat. Before I

decided to pick up the pen to write a

song, I remember one of my biggest

inspirations being Sarkodie.

I admired how he made being a

rapper look like the coolest job on

earth. From the way he shot his

videos to how he dressed made me

want to be like him. R2bees were also

part of my early inspirations to pursue

music.

Both Mugeez and Paedae (Omar

Sterling) had and still do have my respect

for how they could give us a

mixture of melodious songs and hardhitting

punchlines. Kanye West is also

someone who inspires me a lot. From

his life to his music to how he runs his

business, I relate to him in the sense

that he was constantly underestimated

by people and somehow he always

pulls through. I think he has one of

the most inspiring stories in music history.”

Porto demoted me to second team without

any clear explanation - Majeed Waris

F

C PORTO AT-

TACKER Abdul Majeed

Waris has shed

light on his frustrating

spell at the club ahead

of a loan move to

French side Strasbourg in January.

After spending the 2018-19

season on loan at Nantes, the

striker endured a tough start to

the 2019-20 campaign back at

Porto as he was demoted to the

Dragons' second team for the first

half of the new term.

"After my season in Nantes - I

had a very good season there, then

I went back to Porto and there

were some issues that had nothing

to do with me. I was hoping to

fight for a position in Portugal and

then because of the issues – I didn’t

have a clear explanation about

what I had done – they said I had

to train with the B team without

any clear explanation," Waris explained

to Get Football News

France.

"So I said 'Ok, I have a contract

with them and I have to respect

that' but I tried to approach

people to get a clear explanation

and they didn’t give me one. So I

said 'Ok, no problem' and I

started training with the team.

"But I had a lot of good options

as well. I was supposed to

sign with Alaves and there were a

lot of issues around that as well

and it didn’t happen.

"So I said 'Ok, in football these

kinds of things happen sometimes'.

So I kept working very

hard and didn’t say anything. I’m

someone who likes to let my hard

work speak louder than my words

so I kept working very hard.

"During my time with the B

team, a lot of my friends and my

coaches were saying you’re too

good to be here, you have to move

on.

"Sometimes things change, so I

had to just keep working really

hard until this January came and

Abdul Majeed Waris

I’m here now and it’s in the past

now."

So did Waris ever find out the

reason for his first-team sideline at

Porto?

"I think it was an internal thing

between them and my agent but I

don’t know exactly what was happening

– I’m not someone who

wants to get involved with the

agency work," he said.

"With the agency work, there’s

no honesty there and I didn’t want

to be part of something like this.

"If I want to be around football,

I’d rather prefer to work with

kids than be at the top even

though there’s a lot of money involved

– there’s no honesty and

people are not straight with their

decisions."

The 28-year-old also threw

light on his failed move to Spanish

sides Deportivo Alaves and

Leganes last summer, forcing him

to remain at Porto for the first

half of the season.

"Yeah, I actually went there

[Alaves], I did the medical and I

was waiting to see what would

happen and it didn’t happen at the

end. So these are some of the

things I mean, I didn’t know exactly

what was happening."

Waris netted twice in seven

league matches for new club Strasbourg

before the season was

forced to an abrupt end by the

coronavirus pandemic.

It's impossible for current Hearts

coach to emulate Attuquayefio's

achievement - Amankwa Mireku

FORMER HEARTS of Oak

skipper Amankwah Mireku has

expressed the belief that it will

be impossible for coach Edward

Nii Odoom to emulate the late

Jones Attuquayefio's success at

the club.

Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio

led the Phobians to two major

African titles -- the 2000 CAF

Champions League and maiden

CAF Confederation Cup in

2004.

The 70-year-old was named

African Coach of the Year in

2000, having lost only once

throughout the entire Champions

League.

The Accra-based side paid

tribute to late coach Attuquayefio

on Monday, to mark

the fifth anniversary of his demise.

Amankwah Mireku, who

played and captained the team

under Attuquayefio, says the

club's current coach cannot emulate

the success of Attuquayefio.

"Yes in Football coaches are

important but for me, Football is

all about players; players make

coaches not coaches making

• Former Hearts of Oak skipper Amankwah Mireku

players, so you look at the calibre

of players Attuquayefio worked

with and now the players coach

Odoom is working with. It

makes it impossible," he told

Oyerepa FM.

"To ask coach Odoom to emulate

the late Cecil Jones Attuquayefio

in winning laurels will

be impossible, it will be a herculean

task for me.

"Winning the league has even

become a problem but we won it

six times. With this crop of players,

it’s impossible. It's not about

coach Odoom but the quality of

players," he concluded.

Hearts of Oak have not won

any major trophy in over a

decade since winning their 20th

league title in 2009.

I pay my players according to

their qualities - Alhaji Gruzah

FOUNDER AND OWNER of

Ghana Premier League side King

Faisal Babes, Alhaji Karim

Gruzah, has revealed that the

Ghana Football Association

(GFA) has a minimum wage for

players in the top-tier league.

In an interview with Franklin

Oteng-Appau Papin on Wednesday,

May 13, Alhaji Gruzah said

he paid some of his players less

than the GH¢600 while others

receive more depending on each

player’s quality.

This comes in the wake of a

statement by former Ghana goalkeeper

Abukari Damba on the

Kofi Amoah’s

parting message to

football people

need for the FA to structure a

minimum wage policy for

Ghanaian players.

Alhaji Gruzah told the host

of Onua Agoro Fie on Onua TV

that the GFA’s minimum wage of

GH¢600 for players is in the

statutes.

According to the veteran

football administrator, some receive

less while others receive

more.

The difference in payment, he

argued, was based on the performance

of players and it was

so because players were registered

based on their quality.
