IThe story so far...
Aric of Dacia -- a Visigoth warrior from
the 5th Century -- was kidnapped and
enslaved by a merciless, empire-building
alien race known as the Vine. For years,
the Vine tortured Aric, until the Visigoth
led a bloody slave revolt against the
creatures. Aric stole the Vine’s most
sacred relic -- a sentient armor known
as the Manowar -- and used it to escape
their clutches.
Arriving back on Earth, Aric sought out
his wife and family, only to discover that
nearly two centuries had passed due to
time displacement. After much difficulty,
Aric became an unlikely hero on Earth,
becoming a member of the super team
Unity, and working for the U.S. Government.
Recently, however, a new threat
emerged. From the farthest reaches of
space, an elite squadron known as the
Armor Hunters has come to Earth with one
goal in mind: to find and destroy the X-O
Manowar armor.
The Hunters contacted Aric and his
government handler, Colonel Capshaw,
demanding they relinquish it. When
Capshaw refused, the Hunters -- in the
blink of an eye -- destroyed Mexico City,
killing millions.
That was only the beginning. The Armor
Hunters released deadly alien hounds,
which wreaked havoc and mercilessly
took lives across the globe. In the fog of
war, one of the hunters, Lilt, was able to
gain access to Capshaw’s base in Utah
-- known as M.E.R.O. -- and led a merciless
assault with only the technologically
infused soldier known as Bloodshot to
stop him.
As the casualties continued to mount,
Livewire attempted a desperate gambit
and tricked the Armor Hunters into letting
her onboard their giant robotic space
shuttle GIN-GR. Once aboard, Livewire
used her technopathic powers to throttle
GIN-GR to Earth, crashing into Los Angeles.
Now, Earth’s heroes must make one last
stand to save their planet from the power
of the Armor Hunters!
