Chapter - 1: The Beginning

In the late 17 th century, a giant colossal rock crashed to the village of
Africa and from the rock a big giant egg was found by a villager who
was suffering from the scarcity of foods that caused him. So, he
planned to cook and eat that egg and all of a sudden a small creature
came out of the egg and ate the heart of the villager. One of the man
saw the creature. He ran frightfully but the creature was faster than
him. The creature bit the man through the neck. The creature killed
millions of people one by one from one country to another country.
One of the bitten man came back to his house but until three day later
he was turned into one. This bite had become a disease to turn into
those creatures and so later on, the creatures was named as “The
Hordes”. The people have been suffering from this disease for over
centuries but until hunters figured out a way to kill the hordes as they
are invulnerable through man-made weapons. A hunter name William
Pennyworth studied a way to kill a horde. It is a plant name Aconitum
Napellus which can kill a horde. Aconitum Napellus is a highly toxic
plant with a hairless stems and leaves. After that the hordes started
to live in a dark forest where it is darkness and filled the places with
skull but, the peoples never stopped killing hordes and the hordes
chose the forest as their home. The forest was mainly in London. It’s
been many years, now the shelter of the horde was revealed by a
hunter named David Van and his son Victor Van who lives in London
with him. Victor Van is also a hunter and a Nobleman. He had one
younger brother named Henry Van who was lynched by a horde. His
mother died in the same way as his brother. In his family, He only got
is his father David Van. David Van was a former officer who used to
work in London. All these years, Victor Van has been hunting twenty-

three hordes in the Dark Forest. Every time, after hunting he visits a
coffee shop name Café Original in the town where he talks to a young
lady named Maria Evelyn who works in there as a waitress. One of his
well-known man dressed in a leather jacket greets him “Morning Mr.
Van”, “Morning Mr. Hudson” Victor said. Maria approaches and
greets “Morning Mr. Van can I offer you a cup of coffee”, “I would like
to” Victor said. She prepared an espresso for him. Victor insisted
Maria to sit with him Maria started chattering with him about what
exactly happened back in the forest. After that he went home and
sees his father in the Library reading books “Morning how is the
people in town?” Victor’s father said “Doing great living in a cold
place celebrating with bottle of beer” Victor replied “Oh! I see and I
was thinking son it is time for me to go where your mother is and I
know she’s calling me son my time has come Victor” Victor’s father
said “Don’t you say that are you trying to leave me alone just like
them?” Victor said emotionally “I’m not going to leave you my son
and they never did” Victor’s father said then he points his finger in
Victor’s chest saying “I will be in here”. Suddenly, He fell down like he
had heartache. Victor called his butler Franklin. Franklin enters and
replied “Yes, my lord,” “Call the Doctor from the town” Victor said.
The doctor arrives and checked on his father and says “Well I think it’s
just a normal heartache but he is going to be all right,” “Thank you”
Victor said. At night, His father and seven hunters were going into the
forest for hunting while , walking to the forest a Brownish hairy horde
dashed and ate the seven hunters , His father was lynched by that
horde. An old gentlemen and the sheriff founds him dead. “My God
that is David Van let me inform Mr. Van by now” the sheriff said.
Victor arrived and was desolated so, he made a decision to find that

horde and kill it. He asked the old gentlemen. The old gentlemen says
“Last night, I saw your father and few hunters going to the forest and I
thought they were going for hunting then I heard them screaming and
your father got his way out then I saw a giant brownish hairy horde
which clawed your father with this huge claws”, “Thank you for telling
me” Victor said “Your father was a good man” the old gentle- men
said “indeed he was and whoever did this to him will regret it” Victor
said “Take care son” the old gentlemen said. Victor went to the forest
next day to avenge his father’s death. But while going another hunter
followed him. Suddenly that horde dashed and stood behind Victor
and bit his flesh on the neck. The hunter came and shot the horde
through the legs. The horde got away and the hunter took him to the
village where a doctor lives. The doctor put Victor in the bed lying in
the ground and treated Victor with medicinal plant. He slept for three
days. Three days later, he saw the bite mark was gone and thought he
was cured. He went to café original but no one was there, he sat
down and rang the bell to call the owner but instead Maria came.
Maria says “Mr. Van,“ “I was going to call the owner” Victor said “The
owner went to visit his sister so he put me in charge,” “his sister eh!
Can I have a cup of coffee?” Victor said “Certainly Mr. Van” Maria
said. She went to make the coffee for him. “How are you feeling?”
Maria said “alive” Victor said “I heard from the people that a horde
attacked you” Maria said “Um, yeah about that I was going to kill it
for killing my father but I failed” Victor said “Lucky you Mr. Van you
had people in town to save you” Maria said “Well thank you for the
coffee” Victor said “come again later Mr. Van” Maria said “please call
me Victor” Victor said “very well Victor come again later” Maria said.

Chapter– 2: The Night Of My Terrible Nightmare
At night 12o’clock, Victor started to have a horrible feeling but
somehow when he looked at his hand he saw his nails and hands
were immensing, Victor grunted, he felt pain in his teeth then he
touched it and it was turning into fangs, his leg got bigger and long,
hairs was growing all over his body, ears got straighten and eyes
turned yellow which completely turned him into a horde not like any
other hordes but like a beast-like horde. He jumped from the window
and he crawled and dashed into the Black Forest. In there, there were
13 hunters wandering around to hunt hordes. The horde came on
rushing and attacked those hunters. 6 of the hunters were bitten
through the chest and 7 of the hunters were clawed and teared up
into pieces. Soon he woke up in the morning in a large pit near his
house. “What on earth happened last night and what am I doing
here?” Victor said. He couldn’t remember that he carnaged lots of
people back in the forest last night. He went to his house, dressed up
in his golden breeches and brown leather coat. He started drinking
one glass of bourbon but until after that someone came knocking the
door. It was an officer from town. “Mr. Van I am Detective Isaac
Burton and I have come here to investigate about a horde which
attacked 13 hunters in the forest last night one of them was your
well-known comrade , Thomas Hudson” the officer said “I’m sorry
what?” Victor said “They were foot tracks of that horde which came

from your Mansion….did you saw that horde besides it wasn’t just a
horde it was a beast unlike other hordes it was much faster than any
other hordes” Detective Isaac said “That cannot be true I was sleeping
all night” Victor said “Did you saw that horde Mr. Van?” Detective
Isaac said “No I did not“ Victor said “hmm! I heard from the people in
town that you were attacked by a horde while going to the forest of
the hordes” “Um yes I was but I am okay now” Victor said “All right if
you ever see that horde again report me about it “Detective Isaac
said. He gives a card of his department containing his number. Victor
took the card and says “Yeah of course”. Victor went to Café Original
for a morning drink. There was lot of people talking about the horde
last night which really made Victor regrettable. A Gentleman sat next
to him, he was looking everywhere seeing if anyone is hearing or
looking. “I know about that horde Mr. Van” the gentlemen said “Who
are you?” Victor said “My name is Jeremy Talbot I am a hunter just
like you and I used to work for your father as his assistant” the
gentlemen said “What do you know about that horde?” Victor said “I
was there at night and I know that….” Jeremy said He paused and
looked everywhere again then he mumbled “I know that was you,”
“You are crazy and delusional” Victor said. Victor went out and
Jeremy says “Wait Mr. Van I can help you to get away from this
sickness,” “I don’t need your help…I’m better off without you” Victor
said. On the next night, He turned again but this time there were
officers in the forest. There were 5 officers including Detective Isaac.

Detective Isaac got divided from the others. The horde lynched every
four of them. All of the officer’s heart and liver was ripped off.
Detective Isaac saw the dead officers and the horde. He shot the
horde in the chest but it healed. The horde escaped and went back
where it was. Detective Isaac followed the horde and saw the horde
going to Victor Van’s Mansion. The horde lay down in the lawn until
morning Detective Isaac finds Victor Van lying down in the lawn in the
same position where the horde laid down. He confirmed it was Victor
Van who was the horde Suddenly Jeremy arrives and says “So my
doubt was true Victor Van is really the horde which killed those 13
hunters and the officers,” Jeremy said “Who you supposed to be?”
Detective Isaac said “My name is Jeremy Talbot I’m a hunter and was
an assistant of his father” “Well this is great meeting you Mr. Talbot I
suppose you should talk about everything about your investigation
against Victor Van in the court” Detective Isaac said “Yeah certainly”
Jeremy said. Victor woke up and says “What happened?” Victor
looked all over his body there were blood all over him “Terrible things
Happened Mr. Van terrible things” Jeremy said “What is happening to
me?” Victor said “I presume you don’t remember anything well here
is the truth you are a horde now Victor Van every night the monster
inside you haunts you down and starts killing people for hunger”
Jeremy said “Wait I don’t understand” Victor said “You can take him
Detective” Jeremy said. Detective Isaac handcuffed Victor and got him
inside the carriage. Detective Isaac tranquilized him just so he could

rest and be prepare for the court. In the prison, He was having a
nightmare of him being the horde. When he woke, he saw Jeremy
standing in front of him “I told you would need my help” Jeremy said
“What am I?” Victor said “You are a horde which I turned into” jeremy
said “What You …You are that horde which attacked me and so…you
killed my father you didn’t remember you killed him didn’t you ?”
Victor said “No Victor I remember everything unlike you who cannot
even remember after transformation…I killed your father and I am the
same horde which killed your mother and your brother” Victor yelled
“I will kill you , you murderer”. Victor tried to press Jeremy’s neck
vigorously but he couldn’t as his legs and hands were hitched with
scads of vast chains Jeremy started chattering “You see Victor when I
was a baby I was human on that moment but my humanity didn’t last
longer until my father William Pennyworth who was a hunter bitten
by a horde while he was hunting and turned into horde he killed my
mother. My mother was dead but I survived but as a horde the blood
of the horde was inside my system. No matter how much I grew older
My form kept on growing and one thing which can turn you when you
are angry full of rage no matter it is night or day I can see you are
getting angry which means you have no control of turning into horde
but I do which is why I wanted to help you but you didn’t let me that’s
kind of your mistake,” “William Pennyworth that was on December 15
, 1765 the day he died” Victor said “Hordes don’t die like humans they
don’t age like humans they grow old but does not die” Jeremy said.

Jeremy stepped away from the Victor and went outside the cell and
says “Oh have a nice death day Mr. Van,” “You will pay for this Jeremy
I Guarantee you” Victor yelled. Victor was taken to the torture
chamber. An officer arrived and says “uh! Victor Sebastian Van I’m
Officer Zachary… you know I’m kind of impressed and dismayed to
see a delicate man to turn into a monstrous beast”. He electrocuted
Victor with the machine used for torturing Victor yelled with pain.
“How many People you killed these days?” Officer Zachary said but
there was no reply from Victor he electrocuted again Victor yelled
again. “I don’t know I don’t remember anything?” Victor said “Hmm!
So you are saying you have amnesia for remembering” Officer Zachary
said. He sighed and says to the guards “ Take him back to the cell” The
guards took Victor back to the cell and Officer Zachary says “ I hope
we meet again soon Mr. Van “ At night , He kept thinking about how
miserable his life has become and how guilty he became and so he
decided to meet Maria for last time .

Chapter-3: I Blackout on hell
On the next day, He was taken to the Court. There were Five
Magistrates. “Mr. Van, how many days have you been living as a
horde?” says the chief magistrate “I clearly don’t know, my lord”
Victor said “Uh! I see… then Were you involved in killing your father
for any reason?” the chief magistrate said “You think I killed my father
that is complete absurd, my lord” Victor said “Well Mr. Van you don’t
remember how many you killed so it can be true that you don’t
remember killing your own father” the chief magistrate said “yes it is
true that I don’t remember who I kill” then he points at Jeremy “It
was that man who killed my whole family including my father He was
the one who told right into my face that he killed them , my lord”
Victor said “Mr. Jeremy is he telling the truth“ the chief magistrate
asked Jeremy “I actually never knew Victor before I was never in this
town since when his family died I was in Paris , My lord” Jeremy said
“he is lying my lord he’s lying” Victor said “Give him the pain killer ,
officer” the chief magistrate said. Victor was injected by the pain killer
“That will do fine” the chief magistrate said. Victor blackout with no
restraint. The people in the court freaked out including those four
magistrates. The people were frighten and ran including the four
magistrates. The chief magistrate couldn’t as the horde caught him by
the leg. The horde picked him up and took his head off. Jeremy

escaped from the court. The horde escaped and rushed through the
sewage down the town.

Chapter – 4: I had a miserable day now I need some peace
In the morning, Victor turned into human again. He went to Lady
Maria’s house wearing a cloth covered in his face, a hat worn in head
and a black jacket. He knocks the door with panic. Lady Maria opens
the door. “Can I help you sir?” Maria said Victor mumbled “It’s me
Maria, Victor,” “Come inside” Maria said. Victor came in and he was
looking in a mirror “what am I?” Maria Interrupted “It’s been a week I
am not seeing you” Maria sighed “What are you doing here? there are
people looking for you“, “Maria I want to say something to you“ “I
know what you are going to say” Maria said “You know?” Victor said
“Well I know that you are going to say that you suffered in a prison
for slaughtering people like a beast“ Maria said “I don’t remember
anything what I did to those people and now I’m feeling guilty and
regretful for what I did” Victor said “That was not you Victor that was
the horde inside you who did it so it is not your fault don’t feel guilty
about it” Maria said “But I know who should be feeling guilty and
regretful…Jeremy Talbot” Victor said “Well now I’m getting intrigued”
says Maria “He is a hunter and he used to be my father’s assistant as
for that he killed my father, my mother and my brother and he is that
horde which attacked me and made me to turn into just like those
monsters” Victor said “So what are you going to do?” Maria said
“I have to kill him listen Maria He is out there and if I don’t kill him he
will kill everyone and this time he will surely kill you” Victor said

“Fine How will you find him?” Maria said “There is an abandoned
house in the forest I’m probably sure that he is over there” Victor said
then suddenly someone came knocking the door.”Quick leave before
they see you” Maria said then she leads him to the other exit of the
house and says “Please be Careful Victor,” Maria said “Yeah I will…
take care Maria” Victor said. Victor left and Lady Maria opens the
door. “Can I help you Officer” Maria said “We are here for the
convicted Criminal name Victor Van Have you seen him ?” the officer
questioned “No not at all I have not seen him for a week“ Maria said
“Very well would you mind if I check your room dear lady?” the
officer said “Yeah why not” Maria said. The officers entered and
checked the entire house. “All right miss please inform me if you
now” the officer said. The officer left the house. Victor travelled for a
miles into the forest. He arrived at the abandoned house in the forest.
He entered the house and all he saw was lot of blood spread all over
the house. “It might be the blood of those people he killed” Victor
said. He checked the fridge and there were nothing but, Lungs,
Pancreas, Brain, Liver and eyes of humans. The fridge was completely
nauseous and Victor was near to vomit. But Suddenly He heard some
noise from upstairs. It was a piano playing noise. He went upstairs to
see who is playing the piano then he saw Jeremy playing the piano.
Jeremy paused and says” This is the piano your father gave me during
my birthday and I was happy on that time but I would have been
more happy if he would have sold his land property to me isn’t that

ironic,” “That’s why you killed my father just so you could get his
property” Victor said “Yeah hmm! But when I heard that he gave his
property to you that drove me crazy so I planned to kill you and I
knew you would come for me if I kill your father that’s why I killed
him well course that’s the second reason why I killed but you barely
survived while the hunters came to save you and destroyed my plan
to kill you so now it is time I end you” Jeremy said . Jeremy himself
blackout into a horde and shoved Victor to the table. As for that
Victor blackout as well. They both grunted and roared and started
attacking one another, Victor shoved Jeremy to the stove. Jeremy
burned into ash and all at once Detective Isaac came and tried to
shoot Victor but, Maria rushed and stopped him. The horde jumped
off the window and rushed to the woods. She took the gun from
Detective Isaac and followed the horde but, Detective Isaac tried to
stop her but he couldn’t. She rushed and was standing frightfully in
the middle of the woods, she was panting fearfully. Suddenly she
looked back and saw the horde behind her. The horde crawled and
jumped through her but, Maria shot the horde as soon as he jumped.
The horde fell down and turned back to human Maria cried “Victor”
then she laid down and put Victor on her lap. “Thank you Maria you
freed me and now I will soar to the sky” Victor said. Victor stopped
breathing, his hand turned cold and died. “I will always love you
Victor” Maria said then she kissed Victor’s forehead and closed his
eyes. Detective Isaac came and patted Maria’s Shoulder. Not all

monsters are evil they have their own family to protect just like us.
We are no different than others we are also monsters. One person
doesn’t know other person’s pain until they feels the same pain the
other person is going through. Sometimes we don’t realize who our
enemy is. Know your enemy and yourself.
