LONDON 2260
This conceptual zine is a presentation of how I envision London to be 240 years into the future in 2260. Much is similar to present day, however much has been consumed by the ‘3rd technological revolution’ that I mention in the zine. The artwork is a compilation of places that already exist, that I think appear ahead of its time, and places that I have reworked to fit the concept. I wanted to present this version of London to people, as I believe by looking at the city in 2020, you can already see progression towards this utopia, making London that much more intriguing. Futurism is an idea that has been fantasised on and will always be. It is the key element to many cult media followings such as ‘1984’ by George Orwell. The inspiration for this cyberpunk city was taken from TV series such as Altered Carbon and classics like Bladerunner. Both show prosperity and depravity in future life which I have also included in my vision. In doing so, I hope to highlight similarities between today and the year 2260.

LONDON, ONE OF THE MOST AFFLUENT CITIES, IS BRIGHT, ALWAYS. NEON HAZE COVERS THE CITY
LIGHTING UP EVEN THE DARKEST CORNERS.
DISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH IS STILL IMBALANCED, LEAVING PARTS OF THE CITY PRIMITIVE,
OVERRUN WITH BANDITS AND ILLEGAL BUSINESS. THESE PARTS HAVE BEEN ABANDONED, LEFT TO
THEIR OWN DEVICES.
