No Consensus yet on NBA return
The NBA board of Governs met again without a consensus opinion
emerging on how many teams should be back on the floor for the
planned late-Julu resumption of the pandemic Covid-19 interrupted
season, three people familiar with details of the call said Friday.
The people, speaking on condtion of anonymity to the press because
no details of the call were publicly reales, said Commissioner
Adam Silver is still collecting information on multiple option ranging
16 to 30 teams returning to action when the season begins again
at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex near Orlando, Florida.
NBA awards debate: Zion Williamson vs. Ja Morant, big MVP
questions
Snellings: I’d rather build around Williamson, just because he’s
the more unique talent. Morant is exciting, and his combo of skills
and athleticism makes his upside brilliant, but Williamson has the
once-in-a-generation upside for his class. The total package of his
physical gifts, skills, upside and charisma could allow him to grow
into both an MVP and an ambassador for the game who can carry a
franchise to the heights.
Gone But Never Forgetten
Kobe Bryant Had a Singular Impact on His Game
and the World. Kobe Bryant was the fair heir to
Michael Jordan, a scoring assassin who could
rip a defender’s heart out by way of a devastating
dunk, or an elusive fadeaway jump shot
from the baseline, his singular work of art.
R.I.P KOBE & GIGI
Most people will remember Kobe as the magnificent
athlete who inspired a whole generation of basketball
players. But I will always remember him
as a man who was much more than an athlete.
THE LAST DANCE
ESPN’s Michael Jordan documentary “The Last Dance” concluded with
Episodes 9 and 10 on Sunday.
The 10-part documentary series provided an in-depth look at the
Chicago Bulls’ dynasty through the lens of the final championship
season in 1997-98. The Bulls allowed an NBA Entertainment crew to
follow the team around for that entire season, and some of that
never-before-seen footage is featured in the documentary. In addition,
ESPN spoke to more than 100 people close to the team and
personalities who experienced the run, exploring all angles of
the Jordan phenomenon.

THE GREAT DEBATE
Would you rather have LeBron James or Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan led his Bulls to six NBA Finals, and of course
they won all six.
LeBron James, so far, has led Cleveland and Miami to seven NBA
Finals — including the last six in a row. His teams have won
three of them.
Now, people will try to use this stuff to support one or the other,
and it’s silly. The Jordan people will often use postseason
success as the tiebreaker because Jordan’s Bulls won every time
they reached the Finals, while James’ teams have not even won
half of their Finals appearances. It’s a dishonest argument. Jordan
had one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history, Scottie
Pippen, on all six teams. He also had Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman
on two of them and likely Hall of Famer Toni Kukoc on three of
them. He was coached by Phil Jackson for all six. Nobody can legitimately
claim that James had anything close to that cast.
Take it to the Net.
