Now, let’s look at some ways you can help the environment. There are fourbig “R” words you can remember: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot. What dothese mean?Reduce means does use as much paper, plastic or electricity / power.Reuse means using materials or products again, or using a special productthat can be used multiple times, like drinking cups, cloth bags and napkins.Recycle means turning waste like paper, plastic, and glass into new productsand materials like clothing, furniture, even sand.Rot is composting, which means organic material such as food scraps andyard waste, that is collected and put in a special container, that later can beadded to soil to help plants grow.Let’s look at some ways to practice the four “R”s.
