To buy an apartment in the capital you must already be a millionaire or lucky from birth. I do
not have a million and I do not like to take risks. Buying an apartment is such a risk.
My name is Anna. I am 27 years old. I have been living in Kyiv for many years. When I was
17 I went to university and enjoyed life in a hostel. That was great! But the training is over,
and with it all the fun. There were no more parties and sleep until noon. It was necessary to
think what to do next. This is such a difficult choice when you are 23 years old. You want to
have fun, and not think about where to get the money to pay for a rented apartment. But I
got lucky. Everything went smoothly in my life: there was a great job, a loving person and
great friends. I had free time that I could spend with my beloved people. We went to the
cinema, danced in clubs, sunbathed on the beach and had parties in the apartments of
friends.
By the age of 25, almost all my friends could boast of their own housing. It's so great when
you have your place. The apartment is a small fortress, where everything goes according to
your rules. I didn’t have such a fortress. Every year we moved from apartment to apartment.
It's great when you are young and every move is the beginning of a new phase of life. But I
wanted to have my place where my family will live.
