WHAT IS THE
EMISSARY?

The Emissary is a tale about a choir boy and a
lost demon who make an unlikely friendship in
a world where their kind fight an endless war.
Their blasphemous friendship means the whole
world is against them and must struggle to
survive with the likes of crusaders, tyrannical
beasts and loved ones on their trail.
Through this TV series I want to show the
dangers of tradition and the importance of
accepting change. It is also a story about love
and accepting people for who they are.

SYNOPSIS
In the isolated island of Fedea all the counties are at
peace with one another. They have but one common
enemy, the demons that infest the entire island. No one
knows for certain of how the demons came to be. Some
say they are corrupted humans who disobeyed the
church, others believe they were birthed by a vengeful
Demon Queen.
The small farming village of Lurrak is swarmed with
demons and it is up to the crusaders of Church to
capture and kill all the demons that inhabit the land.
Within this church lives a choir boy named Aleric, who
makes an unlikely friendship with a small demon he
names Kibo and promises to help him find his way
back home. Along the way they are opposed by both
humans and demons alike and soon realise the whole
world is against them.
It is up to these two to rise against the odds to find a
place where they can both live in peace and spread a
message of harmony to humans and demons alike.

ALERIC
PYREHELM
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Citizenship: Lurrak
Occupation: Curate
Aleric is a kind and gentle soul who has a passion for
music and singing. His late mother was a great
influence on the foundings of Fedea's faith and thus
took on her second name which Aleric feels a great
burden upon. He works with his father who is the
Bishop of St Lawrence as a curate and though he can
grow tiresome of his job his singing helps him pass the
time. That is until his world is turned upside down
when he meets a captured demon he names Kibo. His
life after St Lawrence is fairly different. He learns
magic, combat and makes a home in the forest, a task
that he struggles with at first.
Aleric tries to see the good in everyone and can be
surprisingly protective over those he loves.

KIBO
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Demon Species: Itzal
Birthplace: Deadeye Heights, Lurrak
Kibo is a shy demon who struggles to open up to
people but makes for an extremely loyal and excitable
friend once he feels comfortable around said person.
Kibo is a member of the Itzal family, a species of
demon thought to be extinct through mass hunting
years ago. They are one of the only species of demon
who is incapable of speech. Kibo was found and
captured by a group of crusaders for experimentation
but was rescued by Aleric. Kibo tries to help Aleric in
anyway he can to repay him for saving his life. He
helps him hunt for food and show him affection and
comfort when needed.
Little does Aleric know the fierce beast that Kibo can
be once he unleashes his true potential.

NYX

Demon Species: Ipix
Birthplace: Matamont forest,
Klosterberg
Nyx is a cunning, childish and mischievous demon who
aids Aleric and Kibo on their journeys after saving her
from a man-made trap. She helps teach Aleric to use
magic but her sole reason for doing so is to make a
name for herself after being kicked out of her own
home for disobeying the strict laws of her clan on their
limits to magic. She soon realises the consequences of
her lust for power after using Aleric and Kibo to
obtain a legendary weapon infused with dark magic
only to realise it's a fake. She learns to be more selfless
and caring to others and becomes grateful towards
Aleric and Kibo though she of course still retains her
mischievous antics.

GUNDRED JOSEPA
GABILONDO
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Citizenship: Bustabi
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Gundred is cold and brooding character who is very
much fluent in sarcasm. She once hailed from Bustabi
but now resides in a small village known as Salvation
Village which is home to people who oppose the
church's ways. Gundred will do anything in her power
to make sure the church is destroyed. Her motivation
for doing so is for her son and husband who were
tragically killed by the hands of the Church. Gundred
dreams of being a legendary heroin and that men and
women will tell her story to children for generations to
come. Her goal is find and capture Aleric and Kibo for
their large bounty and use her reward to hire a band
of mercenaries and build an army. Though this proves
to be a more difficult task than imagined.

1.) Xenith
The village elder of Salvation Vllage. He is rather flamboyant and unafraid to speak his mind.
2.) Lost Kingdom Alchemist
The common uniform used for the alchemists of The Lost Kingdom. They are responsible for
creating the Abaddon and The Demon Queen
3.) Lillith
The newly coronated Queen of the Lost Kingdom who has grown as soft spot for the Itzai and takes
it upon herself to take care of them. She unfortunately met her demise after being the next
experiment in the devious Kingdom's ways turning her into a gruesome creature known as the
Demon Queen

4.) The Crawler
A furious demon that resides in the catacombs
by the Ruins of Cliffworth. His sole purpose is to
guard a forged version of the Abaddon and serve
as a trap for any humans who wish to obtain it.
He is proud of his demon heritage and is feared
by humans far and wide.
7.) Quebblelquoth
A species of demon known for being
intimidating flyers that guard The Unhallowed
City. They are high ranking demons that protect
the Demo Queen with their life and are a boon
in combat.

6.) Crusader
The common uniform used by crusaders within each church.
They are vigurously trauned in combat and faith, however
their motives aren't always so moral.
7.) Father Harrison
The Bishop of St Lawrence and father to Aleric. He
desperately wants Aleric to follow in the footsteps of his
mother.

8.) The Demon Queen
Responsible for the fall of The lost Kingdom and the protector of the real
Abaddon. Her most loyal subjects where a pack of Itzai before they were all
wiped out by humans hunting them down. She since been encased in a tomb
deep within the Unhallowed City along with the Abaddon waiting for someone
worthy to duel with her and obtain the legenday weapon as their own.
9.) Alpha Itzal
This is the form that an Itzal takes on once they grow a very close bond with
someone. The Alpha form of an Itzal is extremely powerful and only tameable to
their closest companions.

10.) Gundred's Son and Husband
Before their tragic death by the hands of the crusaders. Gundred lived
happily with her husband iand soon bared a son. They wander all across
Fedea to escape from the hands of the church.
11.) Cameron
The newly coronsted King of The Lost Kingdom. He is married to Lillith
who was at first, infatuated by him. But she realises his true colours and
hunger for power. He is a scheming narcissist of uses Lillith for her own
gain and to cover his lack of self confidence.

ENVIRONMENTS

Lurrak is located in the upmost part of Fedea and
is the coldest of all the countries. Surrounded by
rugged mountains and lush forests inspired by
Scottish landscape, It is home to the Church of St
Lawrence which is mostly inspired by medieval
European churches and Gothic architecture. Lurrak
is also known for it’s bustling market, also inspired
by medieval architecture and is visited by people all
across Fedea selling goods, valuables and livestock
from their native countries. Farming is quite
popular in Lurrak especially with it’s fast livestock
of sheep, goats and cows which unfortunately
makes these areas a common target for demons

THE
CAPITAL
The Capital is considered the
home of scholars and the
birthplace of priests, monks and
trailblazers. It is the most scenic
of all the counties making it a
popular among tourists and
pilgrims alike. It’s city is very
much inspired by Rome with
statues and intricate buildings
scattered across the city .
The Capital is home to
the Church of St
Veronica, the largest of
all the churches, which is
also inspired by southern
European buildings as
well as Gothic
architecture. Outside the
city is it’s beautiful
countryside inspired by
Tuscan agriculture with
it’s vast plains, meadows
and vineyards.

THE UNHALLOWED CITY
Once a lively and prosperous Kingdom before the
Demon Queen invaded and claimed it as her own, The
Unhallowed City is the main nesting ground for the
demons of Fedea and home to the infamous Demon
Queen. The buildings of this city are inspired by alienlike
characteristics to empathize how other-worldly and
disconnected it is from the rest of the island. Within
the city our main characters enter a museum of
demonology and the Queens tomb

THE ABADDON
A legendary lance forged with
the blades of an Itzal's tail and
teaming with dark magic with
it's story forgotten throughout
the years and it's history
purposefully eradicated by the
church. What caused this lance
to be so dangerous that it was
completely removed from
history?
The Abaddon was created
centuries ago by a group of
alchemists working in the Lost
Kingdom, now known as the
Unhallowed City. It's purpose
was to be an almighty lance with
the power to destroy anything in
it's path. The Demon Queen
stole the lance to wreak havoc
on the Kingdom and claim it as
her own. Since then the lance is
sealed with her in the chambers
of the city. Only those who are
worthy can seek to obtain it.

EPISODES

Episode 1: The Outcasts
A young curate and choir member named Aleric
befriends a small Itzal demon he names Kibo after
wandering into a hidden chamber near the churches
grounds. Together they escape the church they are
both held captive as Aleric helps Kibo find his way
home only to realise they are under pursuit by the
church. They manage to escape the crusaders of the
church and Aleric continues his quest to return Kibo
back home. Once they reach the cave that Kibo’s
brethren live, the two soon find themselves
surrounded by them. It is clear that they also do not
believe that humans and demons should co-exist.
Kibo protects Aleric from the enraged Itzai and Aleric
escapes, Kibo’s life just hanging by a thread. Aleric
finds himself in a snowy wasteland, now cold and
alone, but before long he is reunited with his Itzal
friend and their quest to find a place where they can
both live in peace begins.

Episode 2: A wicked encounter
Aleric and Kibo make a small home deep in the forest.
As they struggle to hunt with their limited tools and
traps, a mischievous, witch-like demon who is
travelling across Fedea to study magic named Nyx falls
into one of their traps. Aleric comes up with a plan
that he will free her only if she can teach him how to
use magic. Nyx agrees but asks for a talisman in return,
however this talisman is back at the village Aleric and
Kibo were banished from. After sneaking under tables
and having a close shave after being spotted by a dog,
the two retrieve the talisman only to be noticed by a
mysterious woman.

Episode 3: The Hunt
Aleric’s father questions why his son left the church
and sends a large band of crusaders to find him.
Meanwhile, with the talisman at hand, Nyx teaches
Aleric how to use magic. Meanwhile Kibo wanders
outside and tries to hunt for some food. Whilst
hunting he notices the mysterious woman from the
market who shoots her crossbow at Kibo. A chase
ensues as Kibo avoids Gundreds attacks. Kibo finally
makes it to Nyx’s hut and warms the two of the
oncoming danger. The three fight off Gundred where
she exclaims that she is hunting Aleric and Kibo for
their bounty. Eventually Gundred is too weak to fight
and leaves. Aleric and Nyx return to their magical
studies. Suddenly Nyx becomes thrilled as she has
found the location of a legendary lance that she will
offer to Aleric and Kibo to aid in their travels.

Episode 4: The Abaddon
Nyx tells Aleric and Kibo about the legendary lance
called the Abaddon which was once wielded by the
Queen of demons. A powerful lance teaming with dark
magic which is protected by an enraged demon called
The Crawler. Once finding the location of The
Abaddon they are greeted the furious demon. After a
ferocious battle, Nyx is the first to grab hold of the
Abaddon. A sinister smirk creeps onto her face, she
has selfishly used the two to obtain the lance for her
own gain. Before she can take final blow on Aleric and
Kibo she soon realises that there is no magic in this
lance at all. It is a fake. The Crawler wakes up and
lashes out at Nyx. He is furious that she has fallen for a
human trap. Nyx pleads for forgiveness but the Crawler
lashes at her again so enraged that the dungeons walls
begin to collapse. Aleric saves Nyx by throwing the fake
Abaddon right into The Crawler’s eye and the three try
to escape before it’s too late. Aleric and Kibo escape
but a bloodied and bruised Nyx is unable to make it.
She is trapped. Aleric and Kibo mourn, guilt ridden
that they were unable to save her.

Episode 5: Gone from My Sight, But Never from My
Heart
Aleric is still downhearted about loosing Nyx. Kibo tries to
comfort him and the two decide to travel back to their
camp. But before they can reach their home, they are
caught by Gundred who offers them to the church to claim
her reward. Saying their sorrowful goodbyes, Aleric is taken
to the capital to await punishment and Kibo is taken back
to the church to return on death row. With Aleric now in
prison, he weeps not only loosing Nyx but now his most
trusted friend. Before long a guard opens his cell door and
Aleric is greeted by his father who offers to take him for a
walk and offer him a second chance. Whilst walking
through the Capitals palace garden’s and guards watching
closely in the distance, Aleric father shows him a statue of a
woman which turns out to be Aleric’s mother. His father
explains that she was an oracle who helped to rid Fedea
from a swarm of demons and helped to keep the people of
Fedea in high spirits before she was ambushed and killed.
Aleric’s father explains that ‘if the Gods are anything like
your mother, there is still hope for forgiveness.’ Aleric
exclaims that he has nothing to forgive.’ Filled with spite
and sorrow he pushes his father away accidentally using his
magic which severely harms him. The guards suddenly
emerge from their hiding places and take him away.

Episode 6: May the Gods Have Mercy
Gundred enters the capital with her bounty and asks for
a band of a band of mercenaries to help aid her in
fighting the Demon Queen. The mercenaries find this
ridiculous and declines her offer. Almost all humans do
not believe The Demon Queen exists. Gundred leaves
The Capital, furious that her dreams of building an
army to defeat a legendary beast are crushed.
Meanwhile Aleric awaits trail. His punishment is death
due to using magic. He is shamed in public and awaits
the penalty at the prison’s arena as his father recites a
prayer. Suddenly a large drake-like creature breaks
through the glass of the arena, grabs hold of Aleric in
it’s jaws and bolts out of the prison, mauling and
knocking over armed guards along the way. The beast
wreaks havoc on the capital, causing a commotion to all
the citizens of the capital. The two escape to a valley far
from the soldiers and crusaders out to get them and
Aleric realises the creature that saved him is Kibo now
in a more powerful form. Aleric embraces him and Kibo
nuzzles his muzzle into him. The two are overjoyed to be
finally reunited.

Episode 7: Home
Back at the catacombs Nyx emerges from the rubble.
Exploring the remnants of the tunnels she sees The
Crawler buried in the rubble and teases him before
setting off on her travels. Meanwhile, after spending the
night at the valley, Aleric wakes up to find Kibo back in
his original form. The two decide to use their time away
from disapproving eyes to enjoy being in their own
company. As they play they see Gundred approach
them. The two are quick on their feet and glare at
Gundred suspiciously, wondering why she is so calm to
approach them. She apologies to the two for taking
them away and using them for selfish means. She then
tells the two of a place where they can both live
peacefully and escorts them there. After a few days of
trekking they arrive at a small village populated by
humans and demons living peacefully. It is here that
they are reunited with Nyx. The four sit round a cap
fire and Gundred tells the story of how she lost her son
to crusaders and joined the village in hopes to spread
peace and bring down the church. Gudred tells the
three about the real location of The Abaddon and
insists on taking them there. The Abaddon is located in
The Unhallowed city and guarded by the legendary
Demon Queen.

Episode 8: The Unhallowed City
Aleric, Kibo, Nyx and Gundred head for The
Unhallowed city. Nyx comments on how she has rarely
seen Kibo’s species as they were thought to be
eradicated by humans years ago. Aleric and Gundred
put on disguises and the four decide to head to the
city’s museum to find out more about Kibo’s species
and The Demon Queen. Aleric picks up a book
detailing the history of Kibo’s species, the Itzai and
how they were once loyal servants to the Demon
Queen before she was encased in a tomb awaiting
those who wish to challenge her and obtain her lance.
Gundred picks up a map detailing the location of the
Queen and runs off to challenge her herself leaving
the three behind. Aleric, Kibo and Nyx soon realise
Gundred has disappeared and frantically search the
city to find her.

Episode 9: The Queen and the Itzai
Centuries ago The Unhallowed City was once a thriving
Kingdom. The Duchess Lilith was married off to the
Prince of the Kingdom who wasn’t all as he seemed.
She befriended the Itzai, a species created by humans
who form a very close bond with her. She soon realises
she is to be the next experiment in the Kingdoms
dastardly plan and attempts the escape the castle but to
no avail. She is fused to create a hideous human and
demon hybrid. The remaining Itzai save her, she steals
the Kingdoms enchanted lance, The Abaddon and she
and her Itzai wreak havoc on the kingdom. From then
on, she is known as The Demon Queen.

Episode 10: The Emissary
Gundred faces The Demon Queen, Aleric, Kibo and
Nyx rush to their aid before its too late. Aleric begs for
Gundred to stop to which she refuses and believes she
should be worthy of The Abaddon and not ‘a bunch of
children’. The Queen attacks Gundred leaving her
unconscious and challenges Aleric and Kibo instead.
They chase the Queen into an arena and the battle
ensues. Aleric and Kibo work together to take down
the Queen. She uses The Abaddon to hypnotize Kibo
and attacks Aleric instaed. Aleric struggles and tries to
calm Kibo with his singing. Kibo eventually snaps out
of his trance and the battle continues. The Queen is
defeated. Aleric holds the lance and he is met with
Lilith in a dream like state. She offers him The
Abaddon and tells him to ‘spread the word’ and to
‘right her wrongs’. Aleric gains consciousness and
finds himself with Kibo and Nyx at the outskirts of the
city. Aleric tells them of what Lilith has told him to do
and offers them to join him on his quest. They see
Gundred limping in the distance seemingly defeated.
He runs up to her and asks her to join him. Gundred
accepts and the four travel to their next destination.
Their quest to spread a message of peace to humans
and demons begins.
