You slowly began to open your eyes
I felt your hand reach up and touch my face
before I intertwined my fingers with yours
like roots of a tree under the ground
you looked into my eyes with a sense of passion
or was it fear
were you scared to keep going
or did you want nothing more?
you slowly pulled your hand away
and time began again
and I was left there wondering
did you feel what I felt
or did I imagine it all?
