Sayyid al-Modarresi invites those in
charge of Western civilization to return
to optimal values

His Eminence, the religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammad Taqi al-
Modarresi, pointed out that the western civilization in the United States was affected
at the beginning of its formation by the monotheistic and corrective ideas adopted by
(Luther) and his followers in Europe before moving its campaign to the new land
because of their persecution in Europe.
But that civilization deviated in the following stages when the concept of
materialization became of greater importance and the idea of money over everything,
even the human person, was prevalent. The patrons of this civilization began to not
care about people's lives, if they conflicted with the machines of the economy.
The idea of defending the oppressed and equality for all was substituted with ideas of
racism and discrimination.
His Eminence affirmed in his weekly televised speech that these deviations were not
born today, but date back to five decades, but officials today are declaring them.
The Sayyid indicated that the collapse of the United States may cause difficult
situations for the whole world and we do not seek that, nor do we gloat over what is
happening in the US from health and political crises.
The Muslim does not gloat about the suffering of others.
He called upon the world to return to the values of our Lord and to learn the lessons
from these crises to correct civilizational aberrations.
