Angélica is about to turn 40 years old. She doesn’t have a

job, a partner or kids. She still lives in her mother’s house.

Her mother has recently died. The place is going to be

demolished and a building will be built instead. She packs to

leave, but without her sister knowing about it, Angélica goes

back to the house, breaks a glass and enters. Hidden at her

own house, she becomes a ghost. Dressed like her mother,

armed with an old air rifle, she resists between demolished

walls and rubble.

group that want to overthrow the Marxist government in

Emilia returns to her village after living in the city for a long

time. The break-up with Ana, her girlfriend, hastened the

differences. Meanwhile, with his own daughter, the director

sets about solving the puzzle of the family memory, an

Not long ago in the province of Corrientes, in the time of the

War of the Triple Alliance, yellow plague, and armed disputes

between autonomists and liberals, there were gauchos who

‘deserted’ good manners and good customs: the upright

gauchillos from Corrientes. The most prominent of them was

Antonio Gil, Gauchito Gil. Antonio Gil returns from that war

in which Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay massacred the sister

people of Paraguay. He returns with the desire to settle down

at home, but violence calls him up again.

casino. He watches videos of famous magicians on TV while

he’s not working. He usually goes to a magic shop run by

Mariana, a magic tinkerer and inventor. Martin’s best friend

Joao lives in his village with his grandmother and he is

when he was a minor. When he is transferred to the place of

confinement, he finds out it is a very different place from the

traditional prison system. Here, there are no weapons, bars

Patagonia, if a woman enters the mine, the land becomes

jealous. Then there is collapse and death. Río Turbio stems

from a dark personal experience to become a film about the

of the women of Río Turbio start to tell their stories and

make their way through the white ice and the humming of

drills, until the structure of silence blows up.
