What is netflix?
Netflix is ​an online streaming service that offers subscriptions for streaming movies,
series and documentaries without commercial breaks over the internet, with the
option to pause and fast forward and rewind. Netflix was founded in 1997 and is
based in Los Gatos, California. The creators of Netflix are called Marc Randolph

Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph: how Netflix
began!
Reed Hastings
His full name is Wilmot Reed Hastings Jr. He
was born on October 8, 1960. He is now 59
years old. Reed was born in Boston,
Massachusetts. He has 2 kids and he is married
to Patricia Ann Quillin. Reed Hastings is the
creator and CEO of Netflix. He didn't do it on his
own. He worked together with Marc Reed.
Together they made Netflix. Reed came with the
idea, because he had to pay a 40 dollar bill. It all
began when he rented the movie Apollo 13. He was late submitting the movie, so he
had to pay a 40 dollar bill. Reed thought that a more convenient method could be
found for this and decided to create an online system together with Marc.
Marc Randolph
Marc Bernays Randolph was born on April 29, 1958. He is now
62 years old. He was born in Chappaqua, New York. He is
co-founder and first CEO of Netflix. Marc has 3 kids. And is
married to Lorraine Kiernan Randolph. When Reed Hastings
had the idea to make Netflix, they started right away. On April
14, 1998 the time had come. The Netflix website was up and
running. They had 30 employees when they started. On the
first day you could hire 925 videos. Now you can almost watch
every movie or serie you want. How amazing is that!?

What do you think of THTH?
I really like how everything turned out. I didn't expect it to be so much fun. Because I
first didn't even knew what was going on. THTH is the best what has ever happened
to me. It was such a fun experience.
Where brought THTH you?
Well, as I said, I'm very happy I did it. I think we all learned a lot because of Lana. I'm
also very thankful for her ;). I have also met new friend on set. Also I started a little
company with different kinds of clothing that say: “love yourself queens”. I had
thought of bringing a little more positivity to the world with the clothes.
