if these repressed feelings are ignored, they bottle up and can damage the human
psyche.

Do you see a life

When your life feels like an illusion and you know that
you’re lying to yourself, pretending to be someone you’re
not, because of the fear the people might not accept
who you truly are.
You treat this hidden persona like some ferocious
monster that might consume you if it is not controlled.

And everytime I give myself the chance to accept who I
truly am, I feel the freedom and relief. I feel accepted.
The two sides cannot co exist as wholes. You can’t be all
good or all bad. You have to sacrifice some part of
yourself. You need the balance of both sides, to become
whole as one person

shadow within.

Society, in this era, agrees to a specific persona and
characteristics and ridicules qualities that do not
conform to these norms. To become acceptable in
such a society, we all hide some parts of ourselves.
This other side, no matter how hidden it is, is still a
part of the person.
Thus, a person would be whole only when they
accept this hidden side of theirs. This other side,
according to Carl Jung, is the shadow self of the
persona.This project visualizes this concept to
emphasize the importance of accepting our own
flaws and the flaws of others.
