therapist and an NLP practioner.<br />
She is presently working in<br />
Yadavindra Public <strong>School</strong>, Patiala<br />
as the <strong>School</strong> Counsellor. She<br />
has a master’s degree in Applied<br />
Psychology and a B.Ed. degree.<br />
She also has the experience of<br />
working as a centre head of a<br />
popular pre-primary school. A<br />
proud army wife, she is a beauty<br />
with purpose.Being the crown<br />

2<strong>01</strong>6 and Mrs Universe finalist<br />
2<strong>01</strong>7(South Africa) and having a<br />
genuine interest in psychological<br />
wellbeing of children, she wishes<br />
to educate parents and teachers<br />
on effective employment of<br />
life-skill lessons at home and<br />
beyond to empower the citizens<br />
of tomorrow.<br />
Digitalisation, globalisation, integration,<br />
innovation and research, the idea for<br />
a school setting in future sure looks<br />
luminous with such consequential<br />
elements expressing the course ahead. With the<br />
world shrinking day by day in terms of growth<br />
and development of disparate industries, a school<br />
hasn’t been untouched and has been whisked<br />
towards the ostensible interpretations of an<br />
irradiant future.<br />
Keeping pace with the changes…<br />
Introduction of smart classes, inclusion of<br />
smart boards, plethora of subject choices offered,<br />
variety of activities to pursue, choices in terms of<br />
experiences to broaden the horizon of a child via<br />
exchange programmes, MUNs, trips,excursions,<br />
certainly the list is endless on how schools<br />
are bringing multifariousness to cherish and<br />
encourage the spirit of a child. <strong>School</strong>s today are<br />
mirroring the emerging society also the world<br />
in general, and it’s important to keep pace.<br />
Building up on the school resources, be it in<br />
terms of the physical structures or encouraging<br />
the talent pool with respect to the teaching<br />
faculty, its essential to repair, prepare and fortify<br />
the school infrastructure in all ways possible to<br />
ensure the future of the country, the citizens of<br />
tomorrow, the students get the best of facilities<br />
and opportunities to forge ahead.<br />
