The most powerful, efficient energy source in the world is your own mind. Explore and discover that it can make

creative fuel from anything. The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons

come from the journey, not the destination.Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty.

Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, and sometimes your smile is the source of your joy.

Going within and being the source of what you wish to feel. It’s a challenge at times but it is so, so rewarding to

be able to access and encourage feelings like freedom, support and love all within you.

There is a fountain of youth, it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people

you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.

Silence is a source of great strength.

The formula for success, BE THE SOURCE applies to anything and everything. If you want to have success in your

life, be the source of success in others. If you want to have prosperity in your life, be the source of prosperity in

others. The formula is summed up in three powerful words, and has the potential to change your life for the better.

Be the source of whatever it is that you desire.

BE THE JOY, BE THE SMILE, BE THE HAPPINESS, BE THE INSPIRATION BE THE SOURCE

Dear RCCians,

“The most powerful, efficient energy Source in the world is your

MIND.

Explore & discover that it can make creative fuel from anything.”

I will ask for you and I’ll ask for you over & over and over without

pause, without a doubt in a heartbeat, I’ll keep asking for you! I

would start by thanking Mr. Mahesh Agarwal who has been a pillar

of support to me throughout my tenure. In fact, the way he has

stood by, corrected and reflected on every decision which was made

for Lifting RCC to new heights was indeed a Learning Experience. I

create my personal abundance from an infinite source. The Infinite

source of abundance is already within and around you.

PRESIDENT

DESK

Everybody told me that this year would fly by and they were all correct.

It seems like yesterday, I was preparing to take on the presidency

of this wonderful organization. The strength of RCC is in its

members and their willingness to live up to the maximum of SELF-

LESS service above self. I am extremely proud of all that we have

accomplished this year and the way we are going to continue to be

an energetic and self motivated and dedicated in the RCC community.

To represent our club as president this year was indeed a great

privilege.

I am privileged to have a board of experienced past presidents and

enthusiastic RCCians who are eager to serve. Together, WE connected

the world and engaged in meaningful projects that filled

this world with light. It connects us with people we would never

otherwise have met, who are not only more like us, but are just extensions

to each one of us. It connects us with our communities, to

professional opportunities and to the people who need our help. As

I thank all the board of directors who have been with me at every step of this beautiful journey. I could not have

escalated this year without all of you. It has been great pleasure to be the president and I am filled with the memories

created by us this year.

Placed in the leadership position this year, we involved all members to enjoy RCC activities, strengthen our RCC

image and create a positive change in communities. Our unique strength arises from the special relationship that

we have built through our regular meetings, involvement in projects and much more. Our authenticity shines

through such interactions and the level of trust we have for each other enables us to achieve great things together

as a team!

I would like to thank all the members of our RCC for giving me their trust and support throughout this memorable

year of 2019-20. Today, as I prepare to handover the presidency of the club, I have realized the extent of the

power and Potential RCC has, the system and the network that it has built over the years and effect of the good

work that it does every day. This is what makes RCC so magical.

I bow down in Gratitude to My Parents & My Guru My

who blessed me with this Beautiful Life. They

say there is always a woman behind a man’s success. But when I turn around and look back, I believe that - Preeti

is the Lady who has been the gem and the feather of my Crown, not just standing behind me, but more importantly

being beside me in every moment of my Life. My Shining Star, Dhruvv Surana because he directed me to the

Path of Happiness. My Little Star, Moksh Surana has been a Source of Pride and Love for me.

The way my Family has always held me Tight in every Dimension of my Life makes me feel So Blessed and Very

Responsible to make our Moments Count.

I would end by making a Very Profound Statement - “LIFE IS TIME... TIME IS EVERYTHING. LET US ALL MAKE IT

COUNT! “

Wishing you most and more abundance in life.

President 2019-20

Pavan Surana

Hello Cosmonians!!!

As a SECRETARY of RCC for 2019-20 there are lots of events

I want to highlight but before i begin I wish to HUMBLY THANK

the DIVINE for all the blessings and also the most important

people in my life. Good leaders have vision and inspire others

to help them turn vision into reality. Great leaders create more

leaders, not followers. Great leaders have vision, share vision,

and inspire others to create their own and such is our PRESIDENT.

Trust is a big word and I thank my good friend and PRESIDENT,

MR. PAVAN SURANA for the the faith imposed in me by making

me secretary of RCC for this year. The prize of success is hard

work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that

whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves

to the task at hand.

SECRETARIAL

REPORT

A BIG THANK you to all the directors and their team members

and all those who have helped in accomplishing a successful

term to the best of their abilities. Also, In gratitude to all the RCC

members whose presence and support has acted as a cement in

creating beautiful memories.

To carry on tasks sometimes we need to delegate and who better

than my wife Vishakha who has always tried her best in being

my best secretary.

Communication being the key word as a SECRETARY, we made

sure that all messages were floated on time and meetings held

in order. It was a great experience and learning platform and I

am extremely thankful for this enriching experience.

A heartfelt GRATITUDE for all that was bestowed to us.

RCC SECRETARY

Mahesh agarwal

Dear RCCians,

With great pride and honour, we present to you our very first

edition of RCC e-magazine 2019-20 – Sacred Games Edition.

This is the first time I have taken up a leadership post in this club

and my experience has been nothing but delightful.

“Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader, they set out to make

a difference. It’s never about the role, it is always about the

goal.” Just as the saying suggests, our leaders, president Pawan

Surana and Secretary Mahesh Aggarwal, have done immensely

towards making this year different and memorable. Our magazine

justifies the hard work and efforts they, along with the entire

committee has put into them. They have been a pillar of support

for this club and its activities. This, commensurate with zeal and

co-operation of the amazing members of RCC has truly made

for an excellent year.

FROM THE

EDITOR’S

DESK

This year, we as a team recognized the environmental benefits

of publishing an e-magazine and trusting to create a difference,

even if minimal. In this digital era, we can hope that our members

can and would look back at this magazine at touch of their

fingers, without having to find it stashed in drawer or cupboard

like any other traditional magazine. We wish to move with the

trends and can hope that even in the future, our club is always

at par with them.

As the editor of the first ever e-magazine published by our club,

I sincerely hope that reading this year’s magazine will be like

scrolling through a beautiful feed on Facebook or Instagram. I

hope that the nostalgia it brings, comes along with happiness

and joy. No matter where you are seeing this magazine – desktop,

phone or ipad, I am sure this sacred games edition will

dwell into your hearts, just like its namesake Netflix series did.

Aham Bramhasmi.

INSTALLATION DIRECTOR

SHRI. DEV BETHALA

Installation being the first program of the year sets the tone for the year. I was skeptical in being the installation director,

as it’s a task of introducing the board in the best possible way. The pressure of last 25 years of great installation

themes starts working in your mind.

Pawan and Mahesh had been meeting up exactly a month before and in very simple terms had put across that it’s a

total free hand to the Installation Director , in regards to the idea & theme. These directors are the ones who would

take the club forward for the next one year. I wanted to showcase the Director and their family without the effort of acting

and drama. With such wonderful installation themes completed in the last 25years it was actually turning up to be a

challenge to find a new theme .

Working on various ideas ,the theme of CHESS , seemed a good fit. We set ourselves to the theme of Black & White as

in the Chess board, got a Photoshoot done for all the directors with their family and that helped us in making the scripted

Installation video.

Introducing each director as being a piece of the chess board. I am sure every member member would remember that

black and white themed afternoon. I would like to put forward my gratitude to Pavan and Mahesh for having faith and

believing in the idea and theme that I put across.

Board Games or BOARD, IF BORED!! was organized at Buva House in Nungambakkam

connecting at the tables and enjoying a fun filled session with nostalgic memories.

Gadget free session are a need of the hour and proved to be a much needed break.

ELECTION

JHUMLA

Election Jhumla was the 1st event of the year.Planning was done to the finest details for the mega event. The committee

had selected 4 members as their Political leaders .They had to form their political party team and make a

manifesto .Apart from this, they had to promote their party and get votes on the D Day.The event witnessed one of

the highest attendance in the history of RCC of 190 members. The Event was well appreciated and well attended

and the FUNGAMA TEAM did a wonderful job of ensuring a smooth play. A BIG shout out for the 4 Party Leaders

Amitha Bothra,Pooja Dugar,Shivani Jain & Sweety lalwani .The various gimmicks and political stunts employed by

them created a momentum so strong to witness HISTORIC ATTENDANCE IN RCC.

Hum Nahi Sudhrenge as the title suggests was a team based event with

adult-A-rated (adulterated) inter team activities for its members. The competitiveness

brought out the BEST and was an hilarious afternoon with

some ROFL,organized at Taj Connemera. Well attended it culminated

with a scrumptious lunch.

Night stays bring about more bonding,

and the one organised at NOVOTEL had

52 couples check-in and take part in the

event. A Carnival setup in the evening with

games like ARCHERY, HIT THE GHANTA,

TIC TAC TOE etc had the members actively

participate and win small prizes, while

peppy bollywood music had some gyrating

to it by the pool side. A Family Fortune

gameshow followed by Casino & Karaoke

kept the members busy till wee hrs of the

morning. The chit chat and room to room

trapezing sure does increase fellowship

and camaraderie.

A big THANK YOU to all the members for

We started the year with a bang by SAILING ON A CRUISE with 75 ladies on board from MADRAS PORT.The

hard work of 2 months put in by the TEAM had the ladies foot stomping to a DJ on board with some exciting

games and yummylicious food. ALL IN ALL its was a novel idea and a 1st time sailing in RCC.

FITNESS makes the mind fit and fitness for a

cause like the PINKATHON (run for cancer)saw

the woman in running gear on a sunday morning

at ISLAND GROUND foot stomping to desi beats

and doing rounds of Zumba before embarking

on a run of 3km 5km and 10km respectively. The

ladies covered it all and culminated there event

with a Madrasi breakfast @Ashoka.

We D WOMEN!!! Organised for the Rcc ladies with a casual breakfast at DESIKLUB on 8th march and a lighthearted

game of TAMBOLA on 90 most powerful women of India was an innovation and informative game with a great

learning experience. Sometimes a casual encounter is all that u need to relax and decorate the bond of friendship.

Rcc women entrepreneurs and women of SUBSTANCE in our own club came forwards with certain USPs to lead a

multi tasking life. The laughing faces in pics taken are evidence of a great COFFEE MORNING.

OUTSTAION TRIPS and night stays are an integral part of FELLOWSHIP

and more camaraderie.Next came the most awaited programme -

The GOA CALLING.....SUN -SEA-SAND can definitely entice a mind !!!

RCC LADIES GANG BANG 2019 created some colourful and beautiful

memories etched on the sands of GOA. An exceptionally super itinerary encapsuled

by SWEETY-SUNIL LALWANI had the ladies surf all the venues of

GOA. The peals of laughter, the ABCK talks , the champi sessions, the night

angels foot stomping in best clubs of GOA, trying a lucky hand at CASINO

PRIDE, the ladies covered it all with their director SWEETY-SUNIL LALWANI

and navigator POOJA DUGAR. .A thankful note to the entire group that

made it possible and memorable, for all things happen not just by chance

but by dedication n hardwork of the people involved on screen and off it too.

Memories made in GOA WILL keep the spirit rocking.....but all that happened

in GOA WILL ultimately stay IN GOA.

BIRTHDAY GIFTS

FROM THE

DIRECTORS DESK

The year has been an extremely memorable journey. Anyone who has spent time with kids know they can

be an uplifting source of joy. Children can trigger strong emotions in people that make us smile, laugh, cry,

or even just stare in bewilderment . The team Bumblebee has been buzzing year around to leave a positive

impact on the future minds. The motto was loud and clear- to prepare them for the future through fellowship,

fun and entertainment.

When individuals commit to the greater good of a larger number, success becomes imperative. This success

belongs not only to me, but to my entire team without whom this would not have been possible.

“Leadership is not a position or a title it is action and an example” Special thanks to our president and secretary

who worked as a team member and inspired us like true leaders. And finally, my lovely wife who stood

beside me like a rock ensuring the success of every event through her efforts and support. I’m honored to

have had this wonderful opportunity bestowed to me. Here’s a small glimpse how much we’ve enjoyed this

journey with all the wonderful kids.

ROBOTICS

Who said engineers are made in engineering

colleges. It was mind boggling

to see the myth breaking at the

robotic event ROBEE organized at DESI

KLUB, where every kid engineered his

own Robo. In this STEM based workshop,

kids were trained in critical

thinking and analytical reasoning to

build their own Lego robots and take

part in an ultimate race between the

robots. Science and Technology are

everywhere today and so it’s important

for our kids to be trained in this

field and they depicted their prowess

in this workshop.

A super Sunday witnessed young blood adorn a white apron and a chef’s hat and meticulously stir a laddle and spoon to make

yummylicious pizza and starters @FOODOLOGY ADYAR. Due to huge numbers 2 batches were conducted. Enthusiasmsaw no

boundaries in making these delicacies and the MASTER CHEFS relished their own cooked up food.

The concept was to creat bonding among the kids and what best way than Board games that sparks the intellect

and teaches cooperation, and patience. Gadget free hours are a must with this generation and giving them a

taste of this Lost art was a must. The sense of accomplishment on winning a game at the boards paved way for

more FELLOWSHIP and bonding among the kiddoz.

We capitalised on the screening of movie JUMANJI in sathyam and attained Full house with 80+ kids turning out

to watch the movie Which took them on a wild imaginative ride. Jumanji proved to be a perfect choice and also

a very relaxing entertainment for the kids for who does not love to have POPCORN at the movies!!!!!

CRAZY SPORTS

Do you know what’s my favorite part of games is ? The opportunity to play!!! this was the motto of crazy sports

at WHISTLE-URBAN SPORTS. divided in four team the games were designed in a way that every kid was given

equal opportunity to play and exhibit their talent. Fun events such as Tug of war, Hoola pass Human tunnel,

sack race and much more had the sporty kids run from pillar to post to make their team WIN.The group games

increased the level.of competitiveness and ensured more camaraderie among the kids.

Whetever the age may be birthdays do make us feel special and happy and excited.

The team worked restlessly around the year to wish each kid on their birthday and

deliver yummy chocolate cake at their doorsteps. The gesture jus about completed

in making our kiddoz feel special and excited on their birthday

GREETER

DIRECTOR

SHRI. AMOL CHITLANGIA

President Pavan Surana and Mahesh approached me for the Greeter post for the club with a strength of 350+ members. Relatively

new to the club and a look at the average greeting of 1.5 greetings every day), a herculian task, I finally took the plunge.

The first challenge was to greet the members without much knowledge about them as we were new to the club and this is how

the idea of KYC (Know your cubmates evolved/popped up. I was unsure of the full framework and the time was approaching

to hit the bullets. My better half Ruchika and ME started sending KYC form to members, Initially it took time for the members to

share their personal details but eventually the enjoyment of reading other members profile had them happily sharing theirs too.

The second challenge was being constant and consistent in our work, as inconvenient times (travelling in different time Zones,

extremely tight work schedule and receiving the details in the last hours) had us on our toes. It was a journey of beautiful experiences,

enlightening us on the various facets of RCC family members. SMILING photos radiating happiness was a walk down the

memory lane and perfect coffee morning READ for its members. The pics and the info depicted the journey of its members from

roots to the present. A sneak peek of sorts!!!! Admiration from members kept me motivated and constant throughout the year.

Undeterred, we marched on in our endeavour to present the members with the best.

Would like to thank the entire RCC fraternity for giving me an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful journey where each day

was a celebration for us. Once again thanks Pavan n Mahesh for entrusting me with a post that brought out the BEST in me.

Love

Amol Chitlangia

KYC...KNOW YOUR CLUB MATES

Good Morning Everyone 28/9/19. Pls join me in wishing

our CLUB PROJECT DIRECTOR MR.VIJAY KANKARIA

a very Happy Birthday 9884135235.

Married to Meenal and this lucky couple is blessed with a

perfect combination of adorable twins - Tanvi & Tanmaay.

He hails from Beawar, Rajasthan. Graduated

with a commerce degree and has successfully

set up a business of Finance & Real Estate and

seeks his inspiration through the “Ford Makers”.

Do you know? Some people in life you need who are blunt

and Vijay is one of them. If you want his opinion you will

get straight from the hip and dead centre. Some people

may not be much comfortable with this attitude but alternately

they are blessings to their friends. Instead of

making long stories this Reserved person is a good critic.

People with this combo are few, their sincerity is rare and

golden. As when they pay a compliment they mean it.

This cosmonian loves to read books, one of his favourite

authors is Ayn Rand and very often he settles

to read “The Last Lecture – Randy Pausch”.

A fun & adorable fact - he loves reading Tintin.

A man with a liking of History & Stories, no doubt Mythology

enriches him and anything that’s Ancient fascinates him.

“Glory of Love – by Peter Cetera” and “Yaaram

– by Gulzar” are one of his favourite tracks.

He loves hot-spicy food and mostly ate at Dasa

Dosa (now Closed)and not to forget the icecreams

at Amadora. His love for colour, culture and history

keeps taking him back to the Pink City - Jaipur.

His anecdotal Style Statement that reflects his true

character - “it’s more about just being yourself,

it’s a way to express who you are, an emotion”.

A phrase that he lives by We cannot change the cards we

are dealt, just how we play the hand. – Randy Pausch.

Birthday sharing personality UNIQUE. We wish this Volleyball

player on his b’day a life filled with exhilaring

experiences.

“Every person, always, is in a kind of informal partnership with his community. His own success is dependent to a large

degree on that community, and the community, after all, is the sum total of the individuals who make it up. The institutions

of a community, in turn, are the means by which those individuals express their faith, their ideals and their concern for

fellow men.”

“We recognize that our obligation to fellow men does not stop at the boundaries of the community. In an even larger sense,

every man is in partnership with the rest of the human race in the eternal conquest which we call civilization.”

I am humbled and grateful that our President Shri. Pavan Surana entrusted me to serve as Managing Trustee of RCCF.

2019 marked the 25th year of the foundation and the “Cloth Bank” and it would be difficult to quantify the extraordinary

difference we made in people’s lives in these glorious 25 years of RCCF. We have been at the forefront of the city’s charity

page rising to every occasion of difficulty, disaster and every form of calamity, we delivered every time, and we were and

are heartened and thankful for the same. The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined efforts

of each individual, as such would like to thank every cosmonian who put in their valuable time to make the 25th year of

RCCF a memorable one. A special thanks to our RCCF Secretary Shri. Anand Jain, Shri Navratanmull Ji Chordia of Khivraj

Chordia Foundation, Shri. Anil Jain of UGTA Foundation (A Refex Initiative), Shri Narendra Sakariya (Megh Synergy Group)

Smt. Sangeetha Padam Taleda, Chairperson of Meena Bazaar for making the year an unforgettable one.

A successful team is a group of many hands and a common mind and I wish to thank the entire trust board for all their

guidance and support. None of these would have been possible without their expertise, experience and enthusiasm.

We should remain open to emerging needs and opportunities — as well as new ways of working — while maintaining

strategic support for core issues we care about. We believe all of those approaches are essential to good philanthropy.

The organizations we support and the people and communities we serve have long helped to inform our work, moving us

forward and keeping RCCF fresh and focused.

There is a saying, don’t remember the name though....

But it’s been in my heart since I first read it.....

You will rise like the Sun, if you light a candle for someone who is in need. So....

Be the Sun!!

To all of you, I extend my deepest thanks.

On 6th November 2019 we cosmonians for the very first time at RCCF

came together to distribute 500 New Sarees to the Trans Community

members and we all felt truly blessed when we saw the cheer and joy

visible on the faces.

Gender dosen’t need and dosen’t have –gatekeepers. Our special comment

of appreciation to Shri. Tarun Jain, without his effort this event

would not have been possible.

REACHING OUT

Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation for the very first time ‘Reached Out’ to the inmates of various

lepers colony by empowering them to rise above the social stigma and also distributed 2800 New

Clothes to them. RCCF also donated 21 new ceiling fans to these inmates. It was rejoicing to see

our members and their children who turned out on a Sunday morning to empower those affected

by leprosy.

We thank and appreciate Smt. Laltaji Jhangra who guided us from the beginning and helped us to

carry out this distribution at the locations identified by her.

TAMIL NEW YEAR & RAM NAVAMI

Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege, and it was indeed a privilege for us as we cosomonians

distributed 1500 New Clothes to the visually impaired on the occasion of Tamil New

Year and Ram Navami.

ROSHAN KARE ZINDAGI

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation in association with Sri

Jain Mahasangh we cosmonians distributed 1100 sets to our Sadharmik families.

our society. So far around 500 bags have been stitched by them and the work is in progress for more bags.

Shri. Sureshsa Gundecha agreed to assist in getting the printing done on the bags.

CLOTH STORE PROJECT

The cloth store project was discussed in detail and as decided quotations were received for setting

up of a cloth store at our office premises. The costs for two different sizes were received.

10.5 ft. width x 9 ft. height and 10.5 ft. width x 8 ft. height. Both these sizes were to have a door at the rear

side of the aluminium cabin for access to our office. Shri Suresh Gundecha suggested that we should go in for

a stand alone concept store than have a store at our office. Shri Dinesh Kothari also concurred with the same.

MEENA BAZAAR

SMT. SANGEETA PADAM TALEDA

It is said that “A leader is as good as the team is’ and with the successful execution of our Prestigious Meena Bazaar this year I have all

the reasons under the sun to feel like a QUEEN.

At the outset , when I was made the chairperson of Meena Bazaar, I did feel ‘butterflies in my stomach’ and the sheer thought of executing

such an humungous event made me feel jittery; but with the wholehearted support of so many friends who industriously burnt months of

midnight oil to deliver yet another edition of BIGGER...BETTER...BOLDER... MEENA BAZAAR.

The 17th edition of Meena Bazaar held on the 9th and 10th of September at YMCA, Royapettah was inaugurated by actress Janani Iyer

and had 215 exhibitors participating from all across India.

The event was aggressively marketed through a sustained social media campaign and was also extensively covered by various print media

houses and newspapers. With a judicious mix of many first time exhibitors along with regular exhibitors, the event was swamped by over

15000 visitors resulting in brisk business for one and all.

I thank my committee , my husband Padam or should I say my pillar of strength, the events team represented by Mr Gopi, who helped me

realise my dream of showcasing yet another superlative edition of Meena Bazaar , creating not only a milestone in RCC, but an experience

that I shall cherish for the rest of my life.Yes indeed this was the ‘QUEEN’ moment in my life...

A HOLIDAY @ GOD’s OWN COUNTRY

RCC Senators’s maiden 2D/3N trip to Kumarakom, Kerala under the leadership of Abhaya Srisrimal Jain was a super duper hit. We’re

eager to share with you our experience about our trip and the whole fun. The trip began with dividing the group into two teams named

Delhi Belly & Salaam Bombay. Each team was assigned to handle the events of one day by turn and each couple was assigned one pleasant

task for the whole group. This started the fun much before the trip commenced. The team leaders Lalith Mehta & Narendra Kankaria

took charge and guided their respective group to give of their best. The idea and the tour was put together and coordinated by Sushil &

Sumithra Sethiya with the help of an event company – Floral management company - Kochi. Magnanimous sponsorship started pouring

from members - T Shirts from Udhaya Mehta, Gift hampers from Narendra Kankaria, Chocolates & Golden keychains from Sushil Sethiya,

Badam Kathlis from Rajesh Mardia.

DAY 1

Senators were treated like Baraathis from Cochin Airport to Kumarakom in a luxurious bus

with a well informed guide appraising us about Kerala culture and why it is called God’s Own

country. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Parasurama who was an avatar of Vishnu once

threw his axe from Kanyakumari towards the north and thus a land arose from the ocean

which is now known as Kerala. Park Regis Aveda Resort was just perfect place for us to unwind.

It was nice to see Senators getting back to their old enthusiasm shown 25 years back after the

rejuvenating Ayurvedic Massage for everybody – courtesy Usha and Abhaya Srisrimal Jain. Every

couple did their best, Udhay-Suman Mehta organised a nice auction game, kept everyone

on their toes. Gautham-Usha Khariwal’s musical quiz programme took us to the golden era of

Bollywood music. Sadhana-T.R. Achha gave Yoga tips and Sushil-Sumithra’s Sukshma Kriyas

made all of us fit and flexible. Anita-Lalith Mehta threw light on how we get Paap & Punya

bandhans. Rajendra-Chandrakala Nahata gave some astrological tips and Abhay Srisrimal

Jain gave guidance on financial security, to name a few. We had a great time, everything was

good fun and very well organized. We wanted everybody to enjoy some reading and hence

Rajendiran Chordia put together a folder containing inspirational write-ups in every room.

The restaurant next to the pool with fine vegetarian spread was exclusively arranged for us

and the Kerala hospitality was at its best. Lalith Mehta’s Haldi ki sabzi and in-house cultural

Programmes were outstanding.

DAY 2

There was a bus travel from Kumarakom to Alleppey and then on to a day cruise exclusively for us on a fully Bamboo boat which took

us through the scenic backwaters of Vembanad Lake. As we drove into the serene backwaters connecting Kumarakom and Kochi,

there was a certain energy and feeling of being one with nature. Kerala’s traditional food Sadhya on banana leaves served on board

is not to be missed. To capture the natures beauty a photography competition was conducted and best picture in each category was

selected.

Day 3

We were back to Kochi. Enroute, Abhay Srisrimal Jain discussed future programmes of Senators club, many ideas were shared by

members which we are sure will make the club meaningful and make every one enjoy their second innings. Having seen Kerala’s

natural beauty, we had a peep into its commercial side - India’s biggest shopping mall, Lulu Mall which also offered a typical Rajasthani

Thali Lunch @ Maharaja Bhog - Coutesy Lalith Mehta. It was like getting us back to our culture. Usha Srisrimal and Rajendiran

Chordia wanted to taste Turkish Ice cream and were thrilled by the magical presentation making the ice-cream disappear and then

giving it to us.

There was no way we could get it unless he himself gave it to us! hand of Thamizhnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit at its Platinum

Jubilee celebrations. You would be glad to know that he is constructing his Dharamshallah, Bhutadi, Nagaur, Rajasthan shortly,

through his charitable foundation, 2) Smt. Lalitha, wife of Goutham Jhangra, for celebrating World Leprosy Day on 5th Jan 2020

at Singaperumalkoil, with 2,000 inmates of Leprosy Homes all over Thamizhnadu. Her fulltime services for them is most laudable.

And 3) in 80 Holidays Customised high- end holiday solutions exclusively for the elite - for sponsoring the RCC Senators @Kumarakom

holiday special e-bulletin. I wish to draw your attention to a great spiritual honor that I was bestowed with recently. An area of

5.5 acres of land were donated to the Thirumala Thirupathi Devasthanam Board on 31st January, 2020 for the construction of a Lord

Venkatachalapathy temple in Ulundurpet, my home town. A part of this land, consisting of 1.5 acres owned by my family was offered

at a very nominal price for this devotional cause. This temple will also house a marriage mandapam, guest house for pilgrims, TTD

booking office and visiting Thirupathi. This prestigious project is expected to be completed in 2 years time.

- M. Rajendiran Chordia

LUNCH @ ANALAKSHMI

Our director senator wing Abhay Srisrimal Jain organized “lunch on meet” followed by a movie night Angreze

medium. Due to COVID 19, the movie was canceled but we had a wonderful lunch & fellowship on Tuesday,

March 17th, 2019.

NOSTALGIA

Dear President Pavan Surana, Secretary Mahesh Agarwal and fellow Cosmonians,

It has been quite some time since we had such wonderful fellowship. This prog paved the

way for renewed interaction between Senators, Past Presidents and especially with RCC

younger members. This has been a greatly felt need, now gratified by the event. The overnight

stay offered ample scope for close networking. Truly a great idea. Thanks to all the

young Cosmonians and the current team for the kind gesture towards the Silver Lining

Presidents.

Rajasthan Cosmo Club founded in 1994 by 74 young, responsible, compassionate people

dedicated to the objective of fellowship, friendship and extending a helping hand to the less

fortunate members of the society. On the happy occasion of the celebration of Silver Jubilee

Year we recall the memory of Late Sri Sureshmal ji Dugar who was instrumental in forming

RCC. We Cosmonians thank him a lot for his valuable guidance and support towards us.

A special thanks to President Pavan Surana and Secretary Mahesh Agarwal for accepting

my idea of reprinting Cosmo Times released on Aug 15, 1997, with a record 48 pages on

the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Indian Independence with Special Report on KALAKRI-

TI. The Cultural Extravaganza of RCC during the Presidentship of Rakesh Mohta, the then

Director Cultural was PP Abhaya Sri Srimal Jain and the Editor Cosmo Times was myself.

The idea behind circulating 1997-98 Cosmo Times was it would give all Young Cosmonians a glimpse of the vibrant

past history of our club. It was my privilege to sponsor the re-printing of this collector’s item. Hope you would have

collected copy which was kept in the help desk and enjoyed reading it.

A special thanks to our Charter President Lalith Mehtha for actively attending all programs in good spirit which motivates

all of us to follow. I also thank our Charter Vice-president Abhaya Sa for introducing me to this great club during

the year 1995-96. Mr Abhaya Sa and I were also Charter Members of the newly launched Rotary Club of Madras

Silver Beach in 1990-91 in which I am still a member. All of us keenly felt the absence of our Past President Gautham

Kariwal, the Godfather of RCC’s Cultural Event KALAKRITI and who handed over the mantle to me. It was he who

inspired me when I took over the Presidentship from him and assured me all his support. At this juncture, I request

all Young Cosmonians to once again rejuvenate our cultural program - KALAKRITI so that the hidden talent of each

member will manifest.

I also recall another Past President Rakesh and his wife Karuna Mohta who are evergreen Cosmonians and never

missed any RCC program. They always used to make others happy by participating and taking a lead in all programs.

We can’t forget Rakesh donning the role of Gabbar Singh straight out of the blockbuster “SHOLAY” during the Bollywood

Nite prog held in 1997. Since Rakesh and Mohta were in US for a holiday trip they couldn’t join us. A great

applause to Naresh, Mamta and their daughter Riddhi for re-living this moment with a remake of the same movie

“SHOLAY” in RCC’s style. It was really thrilling and exciting.

Great appreciation to our PP Naresh Jain for his wonderful AV presentation which

took us down memory lane of 25 years of RCC during the NOSTALGIA - 25 YEARS

OF CELEBRATION program. We trust this would have been a great eye-opener to

young Cosmonians in learning about the great tradition of RCC. During this program

from RCC Fou dation a set of new clothes were handed over to all members

to be distributed to poor and needy people. Surely the heart-felt blessings of the

poor people in gratitude will take our club to even greater heights. Thanks a lot

to Mr Vijay Kankaria - our RCCF Managing Trustee, Secretary Mr Anand Jain and

Chairman - New Clothes Scheme and entire RCCF team for giving us an opportunity

to serve the people on this happy occasion.

I also wish to point out that one of the main reasons that our club has risen to

dizzy heights is our flagship project – the RCC Cloth Bank – which has carried our

yeoman service to the poorest of the poor, given us a formidable image in the public

and provided us with immeasurable soul satisfaction. For this, we must thank

each member who has contributed in cash, kind and effort with special mention

of our members, Bharath Chordia, son of Shri Navarathanmal Chordia for their

major sponsorship of the New School Uniform project through their Khivraj Chordia

Foundation, and Jeetender Bhandari for his regular Sponsorship of the New

Clothes project in memory of his father Late Shri Dinesh Kumar Bhandari through

their P Javanthraj Bhandari & Sons Charitable Trust.

In the same vein, we need to feel proud of our annual brand event – Meena Bazaar

– the fund-raiser program for our RCC Foundation. A very special thanks to Sri

Suresh Gadhiya of Kesar Gift Mart Pvt Ltd for taking part in Meena for first 4 years

as main sponsor. With Suresh’s initial support RCC’s Meena Bazaar is the talk of

the town and its stalls are immediately booked in a big way and in demand today.

The proceeds of more than Rs 1 crore generated from Meena Bazaar exhibition by

the sale of stalls every year make our Foundation stronger to do more and more

Cloth Bank Projects. I am sure current Director and chairperson will do more wonders

in RCC’s prestigious Meena Bazaar.

I also want to mention RCC Foundation’s New School Uniform Project sponsor

Sri Badalchand & Smt Sayar Kanwar Chordia Trust continuously for more than 20

years from 1993 to 2015. We cherish the memory of such great philanthropists.

RCC will always be thankful to Sri Prasanchandji Chordia - Managing Trustee and

other Trustees for their moral support towards our RCC Foundation. I thank all the

Past Presidents and fellow Senators for their tireless service to make RCC a great

club. A special thanks to Sushil Sethia, who was Secretary during my Presidentship

and stood with me in all our club activities.

All of us owe thanks to Abhaysa for sponsoring the incremental cost of the Silver

Coins gifted to all the Cosmonians. Special thanks are also due to our Charter

President Lalith Sa for spontaneously agreeing to sponsor the advertisement in Rajasthan

Patrika Hindi newspaper.

And last but not the least, we record our appreciation for Cosmonian Manish Mardia

who was the MC of the event, did an excellent job in his inimitable style and

created a vibrant and fabulously lively environment in the Silver Jubilee celebrations.

We Senators greet the new team 2020-21 and wish them God speed in their new

assignment and assure them that we senators will always be with you in all your

endeavours.

Once again thanking all of you

Rajendiran M Chordia

Past President & Senator
