AS332 DOPPLER

REPLACEMENT

Heli-One is developing a GPS-augmented AHRS

solution to replace the Doppler unit in Airbus AS332L/

L1 (with auto hover function). The new AHRS solution is

more reliable, stable and lighter than the current Doppler

Unit and is compatible with auto hover functions.

SOLUTION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Doppler will be replaced by an attitude and heading reference

system (AHRS) and one ARINC 429 converter

• New system will feed flight director coupler and hover meters

with ground speed (lateral & longitudinal)

• AHRS will be augmented with GPS data from the aircraft’s

flight management system

• Modification impact to the aircraft is minimal

• Reduces weight (approx 10kg)

• Improves reliability & accuracy in auto hover situations

• Improves situational awareness

Heli-One developed a SAR cabin configuration

that is modular in format which allows for maximum

crew customization and efficiency. The modular

medical wall accommodates equipment that can

be reconfigured quickly and to the crew’s optimal

STRETCHER SOLUTION

Heli-One has developed a stretcher installation

solution for the AW169 helicopter. This solution

is designed to accommodate ergonomic handling

of the stretcher where flexibility and urgency

is a priority. The positioning of the stretcher

S-92 HOVER TRIM CONTROLLER

EXTENSION

Heli-One developed an operational aid for S-92 hoist operators that have difficulties with the

thumb stick on the hoist pendant. The controller is small and troublesome to use in operational

settings (with one hand and gloves on). The Heli-One solution is a joystick extension to

enable better feel and control for the operator, enabling more precise aircraft positioning and

movement.

USB CHARGER PORT

Heli-One has developed a generic USB charger port that can be installed in a variety of

aircraft types. This USB port is a reliable power source for tablets, Electronic Flight Bag

devices, and other compatible electronics.

BUBBLE

DOORS

Heli-One offers a solution for visibility-critical

missions for the H225 and other Super Puma

variants. Bubble doors improve situational

awareness for pilots in dynamic settings and

operational settings. The door does not affect the

performance of the aircraft significantly. It has a

cruise pitch setting of 15.5 degrees, the range will

decrease only by 6% with one bubble door and 10%

with two bubble doors. This installation is available

for either or both the left- and right-hand side.
