The Burchell's zebra is mostly found in Botswana
and it is our national pride. Zebras are generally
migratory animals and in Botswana there are
two annual migrations of zebra that occur
during the dry seasons.
DID YOU KNOW?
Each individual zebra has unique
patterning i.e. no two animals are
the same. The patterning works
along the lines of fingerprinting in
humans.

Wildebeest
The first is the migration of thousands of zebra
between the northern waterways of Chobe
and Linyanti, to the lush grasses of the Savute
Marsh and Mababe Depression after the first
rains.
Wild beast are commonly known for their menacing
appearance presented by its large herd, shaggy
mane, pointed beard, and sharp curved horns.
However wildebeests are also a reliable source
of food for the predators of the African savanna:
the lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, and hyenas.
DID YOU KNOW?
Wildebeests can live to be
20 years old.
Up to 500,000 calves are born in February and
March each year, at the beginning of the rainy
season. Calves learn to walk within minutes of birth
and within days they are able to keep up with the
herd.

season to reveal who God is in your life. That is,
you will never know the full measure of God’s
power until you are tested.
Remember, it was through trials that our Lord
