BREEAM and CEEQUAL consultancy services
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental
Assessment Method) can assess project performance across ten
areas of environmental and social concern, covering a wide range
of schemes within the industrial, commercial and public sectors.
New build, major refurbishments and shell/core only construction
projects can all be assessed.
BREEAM addresses wide-ranging environmental and sustainability
issues, enabling developers and their design team to prove the
environmental performance of their buildings to local planning
departments and clients alike. Over the years BREEAM has become
known as an industry recognised standard for demonstrating good
practice, above and beyond current legislation.
The assessment method uses a straight forward scoring system
that is transparent, easy to understand and supported by evidence
submitted by the design and project team.
Royal Haskoning’s fully licensed BREEAM assessors provide

The CEEQUAL (Civil Engineering and Environmental QUALity)
method is an environmental and social assessment designed to
improve and demonstrate the sustainability of civil engineering and
public realm projects.
By undertaking a CEEQUAL assessment, projects can demonstrate
the measures being taken to ensure the scheme is following
environmental best practice, over and above legal compliance.
It also ensures that sustainability issues are assessed early in the
project, maximising the potential to address more issues effectively.
If integrated within the whole project life cycle, the CEEQUAL
assessment will positively influence the environmental and social
performance of the project, improving sustainability and acting as a
driver for excellence.
The CEEQUAL assessment will be carried out by Royal Haskoning’s
trained Assessors. Our Assessors calculate the scores as the project
progresses, and in addition provide guidance on maximising the
final award achievable.
