WHAT IS THE PATH YOU TOOK
TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE
TODAY
I started as a Technician easily 28 years
ago but from the time I started working,
I have always wanted to be in the line of
Customer Service. Why because I can
help the customer. That was a simple
analogy that I had back then and
continue to be with me. I have toiled
many nights in the office executing
troubleshooting activities, reading
manuals just to ensure I’m able to
resolve problems/issues related to
customers. The three principles that I
uphold (as stated in number 1), has
helped me to move slowly but steadily to
where I am today. Started as a
Technician, next as a Technical Assistant,
Assistant Manager, Manager, Head,
Senior Manager, Assistant General
Manager, General Manager, and to the
current position I’m holding. Have I ever
regret, never once. Every single path I
ensure my immediate superiors, peers,
subordinates do appreciate my presence
and without me going for any
recognition, I’m humbled to inform I
have received GCEO Merit awards few
times, Best Manager, Best Head, Best
leader, etc. and not to count the number
of compliments received from valuable
customers/clients.

OF RECRUITING

f we were to examine all the different lessons
I every company has come to learn from this
pandemic, we would all discover some in time
management, adaptability, and maintaining
productivity. However, the pandemic’s lessons did not
end in personal matters or personal achievements.
Every division out there has had the chance to see
companies survive or succumb to the coronavirus
pandemic. There is no denying that the turnover rate
is very high everywhere. Hiring process during a crisis
inevitably demanded a little bit more effort and
impeccable timing. That is why, in line with socialdistancing
and #StayAtHome protocol, Recruitment
team of PT VADS Indonesia had to implement the
digital culture in the process, where they conduct
interview online via Microsoft Teams starting May 29th
2020. Although there were many obstacles, such as
terrible connection, unclear view of the candidate,
background noise, and other unforeseen events, the
interview process can still be done effectively.
There are some steps that had to be taken in employee
recruiting process. The first thing done was to search for
candidates by scanning the Curriculum Vitae that has been sent
by the candidates. If the qualifications sought were met, the
Recruitment team would contact each candidate via telephone,
e-mail, WhatsApp or by SMS. Candidates will be
informed on a schedule for Virtual Interview through an online
platform.
If the candidate made it through the first interview, the
candidate would be asked to follow the next process; Psychology
test and follow-up tests. For these parts, candidates had to be
present at PT VADS Indonesia. A strict safety measurement was
applied, which was required to be followed by both the
interviewers and interviewees. Before entering the building of
PT. VADS Indonesia, candidates would be checked for body
temperature and asked to use hand
sanitizer provided. That way the candidate can do the test
process that will be carried out in the PT. VADS Indonesia until
the final interview.
This new way of interview process has been successful in
recruiting more than 100 new employees, proving that
productivity knows no limit, even in the midst of the pandemic.
