Occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapy
assistants (OTAs) provide therapeutic interventions to
help patients participate in life’s everyday activities and
occupations. The highly regarded OT and OTA programs

• First 27 credits are online and can be full- or part-time
• Subsequent courses are hybrid and students must be enrolled full time

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
General admission requirements include: application, application fee,
transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, recommendations and an essay. For
program-specific application requirements, visit the academic programs
pages at CabarrusCollege.edu.
Our best advice? Start early! And reach out to our friendly admissions
staff! They are here to make your application process as smooth and
seamless as possible.
PRIORITY DEADLINES:
February 1 for fall semester | October 1 for spring semester
We accept applications after the priority deadlines, until programs are full.
COST AND FINANCIAL AID:
You may think you can’t afford a small, private, specialty college like
Cabarrus College, but you can! Our financial aid staff works diligently
with each student to secure aid that may include grants, scholarships,
student employment and loans.
The Atrium Health Forgivable Loan ($5,000 for diplomas and $10,000
for associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees) and NC Forgivable
Education Loans for Service (ranging from $3,000 to $10,000) are
available for many programs. Eighty-six percent of our students receive
aid, with awards averaging $12,790 per year.
To apply for financial aid or scholarships: Complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov beginning
Oct. 1. Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis until funds
deplete, so complete your FAFSA as early as possible.
